I hadn't heard that, but it was all going to depend how he went, he was meant to get more midfield time this year though, and if he dominated he definitely could have been top 5.

But some more than others I imagine

Why wouldnt Reef play next year ? He is alot more developed than Stephenson was and he played well 1st year
and most of the vic boys have not played all year so same position and players like hollands looking like top 5 with a knee injury as well
i think reef will play atleast 10-12 games next year. he looks ready

His fitness looks pretty shit, which will most likely keep him out most of 2021 as he builds an AFL standard engine.

I don't think a bid will come inside the top 10, no matter this essendon noise. I don't think they'll actually do it.

Agree there is more Chance Essendon does not bid then Bid but not Impossible

Yeah, its not impossible, but in the top 10, you'll be going for best available I would imagine. Needs would come outside the top 10.

If you have Cox, Reid, Phillips, Reef, Perkins with potential bids on Jones/ Campbell...or even Thilthorpe if he gets to 6th You'd be going on exposed form in their roles and talent. I'm not sure essendon would be doing a bid.
You don't really draft for potential in the top 10, more what they have shown.

Reef also follows 22 of our current 35 players on insta plus the club and the pies aflw account. Yes, he is in the nga, but sounds like a kid who is invested in this club.

Campbell mightn’t be the only player that attracts a late top-10 bid, with the Bombers and Crows also considering a play for Collingwood Next Generation Academy prospect Reef McInnes.

The big-bodied midfielder has been touted as a late first-round prospect for many months, with the Magpies no doubt hopeful he’d slip past their first two selections (Picks 14 and 16). They could be proactive and trade one of their selections on draft night to avoid it being wiped.
