That wasn’t just because of impatience, but because his height, speed, marking, versatility, attack on the ball… were something that the senior side needed

He was very close in the last few rounds last year. But Robert Harvey was our coach. Say no more. I don’t think Harvey tried anything different during his tenure ( plus from memory Reef might have been injured for the last game)

Regardless he’s in now and it’s still only round three so he’s only a handful of games overdue to debut!

Just keep an eye on Reef on the wing. Very very impressive. Multiple efforts. Strong in the hips. Great kick.

The Great Barrier Reef did not look flustered one bit.

If his mind was in pieces, his eyes were big and the nerves all encompassing, Reef must have a good Poker face.

Big ground.
Big crowd.

The 3+ year hype was meritorious.

He'll keep both Browns out, along with Bianco, and he's probably moved ahead of WHE on that outing too.

He's comfortable at the top level in just about the highest intensity game you'll see before September. That's worth its weight in gold.

He'll be better than good.

He's going to be a good one. Pretty odd profile - tall, fairly strong, but really quick over a short distance and has a fairly neat disposal. We've really struggled for guys that fit that description over the last few years (decades even!)

Just watched a replay of the game,well the first three quarters of it anyway,and I must afpgree with what everyone is saying.He looked very composed every time he had the ball.Good mark,neat kicking style,and great acceleration,which is just what we need.Hopefully he will get a good run at it in the seniors now,and won’t be demoted to the VFL any time soon.

Swanny was a freak who could have found the ball blind-folded. I don't know if Reef is ever going to be like that. But he looks like an outstanding athlete who is very good in a contest
