I'm going to make myself unpopular, and I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Reef making it as a regular AFL-quality player.

I think he will Neilk. Extremely fast with a good goal sense. Remains to be seen.
I don't see him as a midfielder in the short term.
 
He has had really dominant games at VFL level as a forward.
He can mark overhead and he can kick goals.

Hopefully he can evolve as a midfielder and find ball regularly too in different ways.

McRae really likes him so I expect he will be amongst the squad of 30 to be in the mix all year.

Here’s hoping he takes the next step

I like the limited midfield work we’ve seen from him at VFL level. He gets clearances and just explodes away from stoppages and generally uses the footy well. Both he and Allan do it. Much like DeGoey in that respect. I think it bodes well for him making that step up to senior rotations. It’ll come down to building the tank.

I think he’s our best young talent still plying his trade in the VFL. I’m not sold on any of the others as much.

It's a bit concerning that going into his 4th season we still have no idea what position he'll play at AFL level.. but he's still young and has genuine AFL quality weapons. It'd be very surprised if he isnt a best 22 player, maybe not 2024 but 2025.
 
Reef I think will make it

He’s looked very good on occasions at afl level
He lit the fuse against Geelong round 1 .. pace skills and nice size
I’d like to see him fight it out for forward spot for third tall with AJ and very handy if we get injuries
I think a lot above shoulders with reef

I do still have my lippa jumper haha. It'll be him, but reef was the one player I wanted in the 2020 draft. But I have options.

He needs a break in terms of no more injuries so that he has continuity with his footy.

Its your opinion and you might be right.

What he has going for him is speed, courage, he is a reasonable mark, can play multiple positions and has as good an attitude as anyone on the list.

I view him as a Elliott replacement long term who could was with Jordy in the middle.

His kicking reminds me of Gavin Brown. Average but as an inside mid that doesnt matter and it is solid enough as a forward.

Time will tell but I hope we can develop him into something
