Jen mentioned that his field kicking was excellent at his most recent training session, which is exciting as it’s not something he’s noted for.

I don’t think he’s the answer either, although he might be better than Johnson at ground level and with his second efforts.

Johnson had no impact at all. Don’t want to drop a guy after one game, but Reef has been set a low bar on tonight’s performance.

As bad as Johnson was I don’t think Reef is the answer. We need a proper tall target to bring the ball to ground not just another medium forward.

I wouldn’t be opposed to Reef coming in for a small forward but we’re unlikely to swing the axe wildly.

The problem with Johnson is he spends 90% of the game making half hearted leads with his arms out at his hip while the defender is on his pocket, then when he doesn't mark he's just completely out of the game.

Was the ball not coming to ground our problem? We seemed to have plenty of I50s that hit the ground & we had a high amount of I50 tackles. Just couldn’t convert that into goals.

McInnes will provide much more from trying alone

He doesn't use what should be his biggest asset - his pace.

It was because the GWS were able to have free rein to spoil. Barely anything spilled to the advantage of our smalls and they had to fight hard for everything.

That also a credit to GWS mids who got back in numbers to crowd our f50.

Gave our smalls no room to move often gang tackled the moment they got it or the GWS would gain possession and counter attack at pace often resulting in a score.

Give him the 50. This kid will be a star.

Let him play the next 5 games. He won’t disappoint. Once we learn how to use him, he’ll never be dropped again.

This kids will be a 40-70 goal a year player for us.

Gosh I’m enjoying his game and the intensity he’s bringing; about time he caught a break so here’s praying he can go on with it and play a big block of senior footy now.

Probably the only good story from tonight’s disaster.

Should have been in the side from round 0, no idea why they had AJ ahead of him.
