Improving every week and solid game last night. Good production and excellent tackle rate.
that last goal and the way he hit the ball at pace front and square screamed AFL quality

He hit that ball at pace, very nice.

That he did.
Brilliant knock down by Lynch btw.

Interesting because I had the exact opposite thought on first viewing. Tyler Brown ran past him to the contest as he loped to it. You could argue he time his run better than Brown but I think it is more luck than good management.

Certainly when the ball presented itself he attacked it and the goals.

No.. not that. Just bloody unfortunate. He can't help himself, getting in harms way lol

At least he didn't need surgery.

Hope he not another Prospect like Scharnberg who have no Luck with Injuries

hope he can debut this yr
Hard to say. He is about 6 weeks from coming back from his injury. Then if he has a few good vfl games in -- That will be already late in the season.

He would need to play some Blinders or we Gift him some games as our Season is Dead

I'd put him on ice til next year. Play some vfl games, then have a big pre-season.

It’s shit for Reef but it gives chances for guys like Rantall, Bianco Poulter and Macrae to establish themselves a bit while Reef, Adams and Sier are injured. I wouldn’t say we’ll be stronger for it in the long run, but there’s always the other side of the coin.

i've said it a couple of times that draft actually cost us the 18 flag. 2 top 10 picks that were duds through injury who in that GF should have been solid contributors
Not so, other injuries cost us higher - just too many injuries in the leadup to the GF - we had a second string backline FFS.

the counter argument to that is, we should give him a taste at AFL level show him what the standard is and sets the benchmark for the preseason training.

he has barely played footy for 2 years with COVID then constant injuries at the club, plus his fitness is a long way off. Will debut next year.

I mean yeah it didn’t help, but you buried the lead here! Passing on Sheed twice with those picks…

Interested to hear what's happening with Reef? He was a hot prospect when drafted but it seems that injury has curtailed his development. Is he likely to get a run in the seniors in 2022?

Has looked good so far. Looks to put on a little muscle too. Hopefully he gets a debut early on. With his size he could play that mid-forward role, which gives us rotations.

Didn’t look too far off a debut late in the season, so with the increased fitness of another preseason I’d expect him to play in the first half of ‘22.

So do I, I think Reef will be ok and obviously outside daicos he's the one I'm looking forward to debuting and getting some games next year.

Injury delayed back his debut ( was super close at the end but otherwise might have played 4-5 games) but to say it curtailed his development is a stretch. The interrupted/shortened vfl season was a bigger roadblock but he’s not on his own there
