So do I, I think Reef will be ok and obviously outside daicos he's the one I'm looking forward to debuting and getting some games next year.
I’d like to see Daicos and McInnes sharing a midfield/flank role. While one is on the ball the other is on a flank.

In the olden days that would be called “ ruck-rover changing on the half forward flank”.

Or if they couldn’t kick and were tough hit men types.... “ ruck-rover changing on the half back flank”. 😀

Yeah you were definitely a type if you were RR changing HBF.

Usually the HFF wished you had stayed the on ball.

Would love to see Reef develop. A big inside mid would be a good compliment to mids like Nick Daicos, MacRae and Lipinski.
A big powerful inside mid with a bit of toe is exactly what we need, looking forward to seeing Reef and I think he'll be alright to be honest.

We really need him to come on. Despite drafting a heap of mids over the last 2 years, we're still light on for prospective inside mids.

In a couple of years we’ll have the best midfield of all time.

Interested to hear what's happening with Reef? He was a hot prospect when drafted but it seems that injury has curtailed his development. Is he likely to get a run in the seniors in 2022?
He was named as an emergency at least once late in the season, and that was after he missed a huge chunk of games early with a foot injury. He was also still only 18 up until 11 sleeps ago. I think he is developing fine. I am looking forward to seeing what impact Reef and Nick can have next year.

Reef was an emergency for Rounds 22 and 23.

The unwrapped Christmas present from last year.

This guy Reef and Nick but have a sneaky feeling Fin might be the one this year.

I’ve been wrong before, JFTR

Its hard not to be very enthusiastic about the young talent we seem to have but I'm just trying to keep a lid on it myself. Let me know when I can take it off :p

A good way to give a kid encouragement after a tough year, was not ready for afl however.
According to who? You?

If he wasn’t ready they wouldn’t have had him as the emergency, they’d have had someone who was actually ready to fill a role if need be.

How many emergencies do u think they actually hold over to play? Normally 2 of them play vfl and only 1 is held back for a last minute emergency. So yes, they absolutely could give it to a kid who had a tough year to give him some reward for effort and encourage him.

It’s also been well documented his endurance is a big issue, coming off a long term back injury where he didn’t do much fitness work, needs another preseason or two, obviously.

Thanks Grinch

Hopefully the development group can harness that elite acceleration (2.779 sec 20m) and bring it into his on field game. As yet from what I have seen, he doesn't use it in a game sense ie a Swan burst etc he is more a cruiser in game bit like Pendles.

No more short people or cruisers. We need tall accelerators, real men capable of putting their foot down and leaving the opposition in their wake.

Might be tank related

The correct balance maybe. Nick isn't one of those.
