His spot as a forward is gone now with Ginnivan and McCreery clearly better suited.

I sense for Cal his opportunity may come when/if Adams is injured or suspended. I can’t see us wanting to play the two given their lack of height. Even then he’ll probably need to be playing better at the time than Macrae.

Height is largely irrelevant as a mid imo provided you have the strength to not be pushed out of the contest easily, which Adams has. Callum doesn’t have that sort of brute strength. I’m not convinced he’s worth pursuing in an inside mid role.

I'm not either. But he will be given an opportunity, pretty soon I think, particularly with our shortage of inside mids. Could be as early as this week - depending upon how they want to use Maynard.

New coaching and selection panels will make their own calls. I think Maynard will return (for Brown) and I think Cox will likely be recalled to replace Kreuger who will likely miss, it’s just the how long that’s unknown yet.

Brown next in line based on the VFL game. Just isn’t a spot for him so he’ll need to wait his turn.

Not there yet, but has the attributes.

I would hope for more consistence than JDG has shown so far in his career, and less off field indiscretions.

But I get where you are coming from.

Last week's VFL game was the first time I have had a good look at Reef and I was very impressed with his physicality. His tackling was fierce as was his attack on the pill. The two goals he snapped were top drawer and enough to show he really has a little of the X factor.

I’m excited about this and I haven’t seen much of him play, but just have the feeling he could be a beauty.
Looks like he has the extra gear and knows how/when to find it.
Great to hear the words about how hard he works too.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like the media team just find him and give him the mic (after VFL games, during the Grind episodes, etc) because they know he's going to actually provide something worth contributing!

No uhhhms and ahhs
