ACL's dont always have to be 12 months. Usually around 9 if things go well? I'd expect he would be back in full training post christmas. No doubt he'll try to take Mcstay's road and be back as quick as possible. The club obviously believes in him as a key back to offer him a 2yr extension,
Hopefully he can get back before round 1 next season
It's a smart move. Collingwood get him without having to dig too deep and it builds loyalty with Reef and respect from others on the list. It also demonstrates to those that might be considering the Pies as a desitination that the club looks out for their own.The club obviously believes in him as a key back to offer him a 2yr extension,

He could come back a beast. Plenty of time to work on the upper body. He was always going to get an extensionACL's dont always have to be 12 months. Usually around 9 if things go well? Agree and agree. Look how much stronger and a better athlete Mcstay came back from his. He can focus a lot in the gym and then increase his fitness once he is able to run.He could come back a beast. Plenty of time to work on the upper body. He was always going to get an extension

Agree with the rest, but not clearly best 22. He was getting opportunity to become that but 2 pretty neutral games hadn't made it clear. It's a smart move. Reef was clearly best 22 so you don't throw that away. It's a win-win.
Before Round 1...? You must mean OR then, as there isn't any before R1 other than that. The club obviously believes in him as a key back to offer him a 2yr extension,

Agree - I don't think he was 'clearly' best 22, but was being given the shot at holding down the KPD post.Agree with the rest, but not clearly best 22. He was getting opportunity to become that but 2 pretty neutral games hadn't made it clear.
Can see why McStay is in the leadership group.Mcstay said he is gonna take him under his wing and look after him. Said he will make sure reef beats the markers in rehab that Mcstay went through. To do even better than him.
He won’t be alone through this.
The AFL loves the feel good story too.
Correct. Instead they re-signed him.…..but apparently Collingwood won’t resign him.
It was just an opinion, not a statement of fact.…..but apparently Collingwood won’t resign him.
