Our referee will be Graham Poll from England which I think will be good for us.

Our good friend Markus Merk is going to be doing USA - Ghana.
OH GRAHAM POLL.
IS A ****ING ****HOLE
IS A ****ING ****HOLE

OH GRAHAM POLL

Having that tw@t in charge is good for no-one. He'll be looking to make a name for himself, that will normally involve a red card. And seeing as our players are better known in England than theirs...

If Croatia manage to get the result, I give five seconds before the first post claiming the Pommy ****** cost Australia the game....regardless of how he calls the game.

Hang on. You'd more than likely do the same if the game was Cricket. ;)

Well I've been praying we'd get the English referee.

The reasoning might be slightly simplistic but it's occured to me that an English ref might be slightly more permissive towards our physical play

Unlike our German friend from the Brazil match*.

*that horrific Grella tackle excepted

No, I wouldn't. In football, the referee is the law. In cricket, the umpire is the law. I don't question the officials. That's the perogative of Weather Boy "Drivel" Smith.

Every time we get a pommy ref we get ripped off they are still ****ed bout us beating them 3-1. In the confeds cup we had pom refs in our games against argentina and germany. ripped off big time.

I can almost certainly assure you that they didn't give a **** mate.

It was a rubbish friendly in which Sven fielded 22 players*, many of whom were decidedly not arsed.

*not at the same time, that would be a clear breach of the rules, obviously.

Agreed. I really hope that now we have qualified for and done well at the World Cup, we can stop talking about that friendly. It was good fun at the time but we should be caring about more important things than beating a pretty ordinary team whose heart wasn't really in it in a friendly game more than 3 years ago.

Can you tell your Countrymen that, all i ever get is the same rubbish about "3-1 to Australia" i don't really give a damn about that game.

Poll will send a Croatian player off and give them a Penalty

Firstly lets face it If Aus lose it will be because of the ref especially since he is English

His appointment is the best Aus could have wished for because he is the most lenient in the WC.He has reffed alot of the Aus players many many times so they will be fully aware of the way he refs .If you saw him the other night he put in the best performance so far letting the tackles happen and the game move .Its funny I remember when he first started in England he was absolutly revilled for being to strict yet as turned into the ref that let Rooney tell him to F off about 50 times in a short space of time

Graham Poll - even though I think he's a twonk we couldn't have hoped for much better, he'll be more lenient on our style of play and familiar with our players.

Graham Poll is a decent ref and will allow the game to flow which is something our previous two main refs havent done so far in Game 1 and 2.

One of the ebtter world cup refs IMO
