I'd like to think I'm fairly non-value laden on this issue - however; why the hell would refugees refuse food and water aid assistance? Genuinely stumped.

I love seeing flags and banners at international soccer, rugby and cricket games - it really adds to the sense of occasion.
Be aware that security at Subi get really sensitive about people hanging signs and what-not so be prepared for that, and secondly, you absolutely can't cover any advertising or block anybody's view because that's the go-to for getting people to take things down. So... either find a good spot or pick your moment.

As much as I endorse the sentiment expressed by OP, I'd have to also agree that we should aim to be as apolitical where possible. Will somewhat regretfully shut this one down and encourage those who want to continue this discussion to pursue the relevant threads on the SRP board.
