The Bulldogs will be a very interesting opponent for Fremantle… A team that last year showed they can win finals with a crafty (crazy) coach. Versus a team with a lot of pressure, expectation and first final for many. Very interesting indeed

Also the only reason they played in Geelong in 2013 was because all 4 finals were in Melbourne and they couldn't play 4 at the G, so they chose GMHBA over Marvel.

Now I may be in a minority on this, but IMO Hird should never be allowed to Coach again in a senior role.

He is a blight on the game and makes a mockery of any semblance of integrity, that the AFL are trying to work towards.

I have nothing but disdain for the man, and if I had a child that was in that program that he had overseen, I would have been ropable.
To this day I still find it hard to believe, that Worksafe didn't prosecute the Essendon Football Club and the individuals that managed the deceitful program.

He should have been banned from ANY role at any AFL club at any level for life. Coach, board member, CEO, recruiter etc.

True, I think Fremantle will win. But there are a lot of unknowns. I think they (Bulldogs) have the capacity to be a very dangerous opponent.

Wont be an issue anymore now. The AFL came out in 2018 and said if there were four Vic finals in week 1 they'd move one of the Saturday games to Sunday.

probably a bit of similarity between melb then and Carl now.

both up and coming sides then in 18 dees had a breakout year and most expect Carl to be up the top in 23.
