Still can’t get over Essendon, up six with a minute left where any score will essentially seal it, turning down the set shot to instead skim one across the turf into a central position.

He was never an elite player. Had some big performances against bad teams but never seemed to take that extra half step to greatness. His flopping and diving didn't help. Also gets injured a lot.

Season defining loss there for freo. To win that game and to go back to Perth knowing you have an extra game in Perth later on would have been so comforting.

I care not for Fremantle at all, but that commentary completely underlines how catered to the Victorian audience is. Seriously, the unprofessional presentation of our sport by paid commentators is deplorable. Glad I don't pay for that s**t.
I Reckon he was easily in the elite bracket for 2 or 3 years.
He's a shadow of the player he once was.

What do you put his accuracy improvement down to?
Well they don’t seem overly disturbed on the Fremantle board. A lot of umpire blaming and they’ve turned on Walters. Certainly nowhere near the meltdowns of a fortnight ago 
He is cooked, wouldn't get a game for alot of teams atm

When you’re so used to the cycle of “we’ll make finals...well good to get a nice pick and pump some experience into kids....we’ll make finals” and constantly playing for three years from now, you can rationalise and deal with moral victories like that.
8.13. More behinds than goals in all games by the derby demolition. But yeah, that unpaid mark was the sole factor.

Yes agree on all points. Just got to make a few changes, bring in more youth etc etc.
They’re back at home next week. Would be nice if they could beat one of our top eight competitors...
