Rehn expresses his interest?

According to The Age:

Wallace, Eade and former Crows ruckman Shaun Rehn, now coaching in the SANFL, yesterday expressed strong interest in the post.

What would your thoughts be? He has done a good job with youngsters at Westies, and a good job with a list that was completely blown to bits with all the draftings and retirements after last season GF.

I think what he lacks in experience he makes up for in sheer force of personality, he would no doubt have the loyalty of the players.

The fact that he has expressed interest publicly suggests he's going to have a go. Could be interesting.

but again as has been said on this board before, his lawsuit does not sit well with the AFC or the SANFL!

Brenton Phillips is also interested in an assistants role...hmmmm not sure on that one!

Agree with both comments.

Whoever the new coach is we need to have fresh assistants, bringing different strengths & ideas to the coaching box.

He can't be ruck coach anyway. His contract with Westies only has an out for a senior coaching position.

years ago when I was working adelaide, I used to encounter shaun rehn occasionally - he was a grumpy surly ****, which I still hold against him.

probably not fair, but hey.
