Well that was a major downer in an otherwise lighthearted thread...

You care enough to post a comment about not caring which made me post a comment about me caring that you do not care.

Needs some tatts before he shaves it bald doe
He doesn't strike me as someone would look good in sleeves. A Frankenstein on his arm wouldn't be misplaced though.
Whereas Elliott is rapidly homing on 2nd most decorated player after Swanny. Again White was 2nd best here I believe. Honorable mentions to Caff and Cloke.

Like the Belfast accent? I've got one.:D

Are you reading my diaries, Gimpy? Bestie was my first crush - no small thing considering he came from the wrong side of the peace-line. Knowing nothing about soccer, or any other sport, when I first saw him on TV, running up the pitch and slipping past everyone so gracefully to score a goal, I knew I was witnessing genius in action. And he was sooooooooooooooooo handsome! A person could get lost in that dimple. Many did.

yes the irish accent is pretty sexy. i met 2 irish girls on the greek islands.. and was pretty mesmirised by em both.

seriously dude thats a rather adolescent way of comparing the 2.

you talk of simulation? please.. afl players have exploited the rules for as long as i can remember.. ducking their heads to get free kicks one eg of many.. coaches exploiting the sub rule.. coaches exploiting the interchange rule.. so please dont give me this rubbish about players pretending they have been shot to earn free kicks in a game of soccer or to waste time. clubs like carlton tanking and paying the ultimate price for it. i think in afl rules are exploited a hell of a lot more than in soccer.

you can argue that afl has a draft system to even up the competition.. i for one believe this to be another flaw. clubs like manchester united chelsea arsenal liverpool manchester city have earnt the right to sign the best players in the world. clubs build their brand and reputation over decades and decades of hard work. if youre a minow club thats where you belong. if you think you can compete against the likes of the bigger clubs well i suggest you put your hugo boss suit on if you can afford itand have a crack if you cant afford it.. well work towards it. i am not going to hand it to you.

exploiting the rules is not the only issue i find is a worry in the afl. i for one will never forget the daniher v brown clash in 1990.. a deliberate attempt by daniher to knock brown out to have him sit on the pine for the remainder of the gf. you strike someone in a game of soccer you are off!!! no messing about.

you talk of compilation of greatest highlights.. you think afl wins hands down? youre a funny bloke. you only need to youtube the brilliance of a ronaldo, messi, van basten, henry. past world cups. legendary epl games etc.

i love my aussie rules football.. i love my soccer more though. in my opinion the game of soccer has very few flaws... the game of afl has many.. you can not deny that it does. players and coaches are forever trying to exploit the rules and the loopholes within. in a game of soccer you can not. its an even playing field.

you think aussie rules is a great spectacle.. i suggest next time you treck overseas to milan or liverpool get yourself a ticket and go to a game.

.

your argument centres on the fact that you know very little about the game of soccer.. like i know very little about the game of rugby. i can argue afl is so much better than rugby.. but i wasn't bought up to follow it.. so i dont have an natural affinity for it.

until you have experienced soccer at the level you have followed the afl.. your opinions fall of deaf ears. you are commenting on something you have no idea about my friend.

Please.....are we talking about the singing and chanting in the crowd or the game itself? Soccer fans often confuse the two. When comparing two games we are clearly doing so with both at their best. I have seen many dreary, mindnumbingly bad games of soccer and Aussie Rules. At their best, Aussie Rules is so far ahead of any other form of football it isn't remotely funny.

Good day to you,sir.

Seriously arguing over which is the best local derivation of Devon and then having the audacity to compare it to fillet steak!!!

In further bad news regarding Reid, a recent training photo confirms that he has shrunk....the question is whether we should delist him before he and his hair vanishes entirely?
