Considering there is still the grandstand and the balance of Stage 3 to come, the whole project is amazing.
I recommend people visit, the foyer is pretty impressive.
Contrary to earlier reports, the ground is in good condition given the time of year. Well watered, green.

The Board (Spencer, Finnis et al) really deserves kudos here.
They have leveraged $5mill into a $50 mill asset in just four years.
Bloody brilliant effort.
More to the point: they have set up the club for the future.

The team’s performance this year, though disappointing, is irrelevant in the long term.
No one will remember season 2018.
No one will remember who coached.
The positive impact of these facilities will last far longer than a poor w/l for one year.

If you match these facilities with the club’s current B2B networking efforts through the Bayside area and the Moorabbin Industrial Estate, I think we now have a good business model in play.

They(the council) have completely upgraded the walking track as part of the area works.

The path will go right down to South Rd and the new lighting and track looks terrific...…..a new BBQ area with shelter is nearly finished at the South Rd end of the new training field.

I was told the walking track entry point to the area will be off South Rd next to the Bowls club....which had had a new car park built.

I do find it funny theres a door marked "DO NOT OBSTRUCT" with a Moorabbin Social sign in front of it clearly obstructing it.

Seriously thanks very much to all with the recent photos, looks absolutely brilliant, and I can't wait to get over there soon. Last time I was there they were selling clothing stuff in the gym which was only a couple of months back I think, and by god it's come on since then. Absolutely dying for a beer there on a Saturday arvo watching Saints VFL/AFLW.
Does anyone know if this new building contains the pool, or is that next along with the grandstand?
