Re: Reimers report

AFL is a predominately kicking game and it is obviously dangerous to be attacking the legs of a player who is kicking.

Rugby league allows tripping with the hands (feet is not allowed) in the tackling process. However, attacking the legs of a player who is kicking is not allowed either.

Given that kicking in leage happens, say, once per 2min, compared to the AFL which would have multiple kicks per minute, it's quite sensible the approach that the AFL has taken to protect players from injury. The fact that Reimers' charge was thrown out is a good example of the common sense application of the rule too (Fletcher would have been banned for life etc etc)

Re: Reimers report

Bellchambers not looked at?

He was pushed into Selwood. From the match vision (well audio) you can clearly hear Hayden Kennedy telling the Eagles players to chill out as Ding Dong had been pushed. The fact that none of them really went after him indicates there was nothing in it (at least IMHO).
