2025 is a season of rejuvenation for ye olde footballers. Who has impressed you the most?

Steele Sidebottom - almost in career best form. Seems to be using his wise head to impact contests when most needed.

Jack Gunston - out of nowhere is taking confident marks in congestion again and kicking his dead-eye goals from distance.

Todd Goldstein - he was finished and was seen as no more than a ruck coach now who was a break-glass option at best. Instead he’s manfully holding down the first ruck role at the age of 50. I think he played his best game for the Bombers today.

Taylor Walker - Tex is playing like a spritely youth, showing crazy evasiveness and once more bombing them from a long way out.

Patrick Dangerfield - looked like he was limping into his twilight over the last couple of years but this year he’s back to his dynamic best but in a less prominent role as a forward with short midfield bursts.

Have I forgotten anyone? Pendles and Gawn are evergreens. Zorko rejuvenated before this year.

reminds me how a century ago Walter Johnson & Grover Cleveland Alexander had World Series wins in their late 30s

of the older guys most of them have a flag. Goldstein (not contending) & Ward are the only 300 gamers without a flag (even granny, Ward missed 2019 and would’ve missed 2016). Taylor Walker would be a fun people’s story with a few comebacks and redemptions to it, although whether the Crows get there and he is still best 22 is a long journey yet. I’d also like to see the Suns win a final whilst David Swallow is still there (even if he isn’t an example of the rejuvenated stardom of this thread). Inaugural #1 pick, played in inaugural match, seemingly remains their youngest debutant (18y 134d), been a long road.

Tom Liberatore (33). Looked gone for all money with concussions.

Absolutely murdering it this season.

Never thought I'd be saying it but Nick Haynes. Top 3 in intercept marks across the league and leading the comp for marks.

Not as good as his peak at GWS in 2019-2020 but he's been in great form despite the Blues struggles this year.

Looked gone for all money last season and the start of this season.

Rediscovering some mojo now.

Sidey has been consistently great for most of his career. Walker still doesn't impress me except for the odd blinder against usually poor opponents. Gunston going very nicely. Still early, but he could amazingly win another premiership.

Good calll, although he’s didn’t really drop away in performance level too much but yeah he’s found something after a bleak period with the old scone.

Sidebum fell away somewhat in recent times. Never saw this level of performance in him again.

Walker definitely has a spring in his step again.

Haynes is a great call actually. Going by Carlton fans he was Weekend at Bernies version of the old man.

Libba’s secret of longevity is to not lift your knees while running ..so you conserve energy but still get to the contest repeatedly.

The Flintstone technique it’s called.

It’s quite revolutionary and it’s my understanding Libba plans to keep on playing until at least 55.

Yeah he was down a few years ago.

Walker just looks slow/out of position most of the time (he looks like he's jogging, or rather walking as his namesake). But plays a role.

Gunston's accuracy has been poor by his very lofty standards. Usually a dead eye but his actual conversion has been poor.

He just keeps generating scoring shots which is what's impressing me the most.

He scores from ground balls and marks. Just doing it all at the moment.

Would likely be leading the Coleman if he played from the start of the season.
