Who would take Howards spot though?
fair question. but when you consider that these guys aren't always selected in position....

my guess is, that Stat will take the 5 and KG the 4.

but then again KG has been off the boil since christmas, so maybe Timaaaaay gets the nod?

not convinced it's all settled yet.

Those not saying Turkoglu is the most improved cannot be taken seriously.

Those underrating the Hornets again also cannot be taken seriously.

Chris Paul leads the league in Steals
Chris Paul is second in to Nash in Assists

Peja Vu leads the league in treys
Peja Vu leads the league in FT%

Chandler leads the league in offensive rebounds
Chandler is second in FG%

Then throw in West who is almost averaging a 20/10, accurate shooting and the leading shot blocker for the Hornets.

Everyone knows the Hornets have a pretty handy starting 5, its the depth that makes people doubt them. They practically have no bench, and in the playoffs they wont be able to play their stars for 40+ mins a night.

That said, they have overcome this problem all season so i guess anything is possible...

Actually in the playoffs the rotations get much, much smaller. Bonzi is no slouch on the playoffs either - or has everyone forgotten when the Artest/Bonzi combo nearly knocked off the Spurs a couple years back in round 1? They was robbed that year btw, Duncan's illegal screen on Barry was a joke.

Simply having CP3 on the court means anything is possible.

hoping hodges response answered your question.

id like to think my knowledge of the game is pretty good. only been to 2 nba games admittedly, both at staples center but read up on enough to get me by. not overly interested in stats, dont really care on memorising them.
How do stats come into the fact that kobe is the most complete sg in the league, not rondo let alone that rondo is not a sg and that kobe is a dead set shoe-in for sg for the All NBA first team. That their are plenty more players that have had a better defensive year then amare. AND the one that makes me laugh the most, that you said the kidd trade was the smartest because dallas suck without harris? so how is that the smartest trade? im not saying that your opinions correct but that prediction doesnt even make sense. So I'll ask again, how do stats have anything to do with my arguement against your warped predictions.

you do realise my predictions were all tongue in cheek and merely summarising what various dedicated posters have been sprouting over the past few weeks.

I think the guards will be:
1st team - Paul and Kobe
2nd team - Deron Williams and Ginobili
3rd team - Nash and McGrady

2nd team and 3rd team guards could probably all be swapped around in any order. Iverson and Baron Davis would also be a chance.

As someone else said above bench players don't have as much playing time in the playoffs. Our bench isn't that bad anyway. Bonzi playing better then Mo Pete coming off the bench and is getting more minutes, Pargo may be inconsistent but he has had a lot of nights where he has played better then CP3 plus we have Mike James if Pargo is having an off night, Julian Wright has been fantastic the last month or so and Chris Andersen looks like he is finding some form. We might not have the best bench but I think on its night it can stand up to any other bench in the league.
