the question is, can we recover to fix these issues over the next 3 weeks, or will we do what we do every other year and panic and go into our shells. We were one of/ if not the best 1st quarter team this year. The last 2 games we've started really slow, and its continued through the game.Absolutely nothing wrong with the plan ....it’s the execution of ball use ..(.Rath. )
There has been systematic change with the personnel in back half , not only that but the way we move
the ball , it’s not mentioned in the article because unfortunately last couple of weeks we returned to
2019 set up , was pretty shocked to be honest that when Carlisle was rested that either Roberton or Marsh
we’re not included down back.
We had lots of opportunities rather than run & carry the ball , the players mentally checked out and bombed.
Go back and watch the replay of the Bulldogs game then watch this last game for a real comparison .
Nothing wrong with our plan designed by Rath ...no mistake about it folks it’s his plan.
It‘s a failure to “execute “that are the loses of Fremantle / Brisbane / Melbourne .
How?We need a WC win tonight, otherwise it opens up the door of the Dogs going past us.

Well currently we are 4 points and percentage ahead of the DogsHow?
Basically we need to win 2 games, if we do we are in.I can’t work out all these permutations - especially because everyone on here seems to have different opinions ie with the Blues/pies game on the weekend.![]()
What does the West Coast v Essendon game tonight have to do with the Bulldogs?Well currently we are 4 points and percentage ahead of the Dogs
Dogs win last 3 and we only win 1, they go past us...

Either way, let’s get the stuffing knocked out of them.

Good teams tend to get there a year early. Hawthorn in 2007, Doggies in 2015...
As I said last week, the target should be to win one final.
My bad, thought it was WC v Dogs tonight, that's next week. What does the West Coast v Essendon game tonight have to do with the Bulldogs?
Yes we need the Eagles to win tonight but that's because it basically rules out Essendon making it.
West Coast v Essendon
Sydney v Melbourne
GWS v Carlton
Brisbane v Collingwood
St.Kilda v Hawthorn
Take another look at it after that
Correct - beat the Hawks and beat either WCE or GWS which will be hard - but you never know with this team , we are more likely to lose to the Hawks and beat WCE and GWS.Surely we win against Hawthorn and then it's up to the boys for the ultimate test of winning 1 game in two to prove this season wasn't a waste.
We have lost 3 of our last 4 games but it has to brought into perspective.Guess we’ll find out shortly.
They just look better than us in most areas but the 3 games in 9 Days factor could definitely come into playI think looking at West Coast, we should be going Tall in the forward line. Membrey, King, Marsh, Marshall/Ryder, with Battle floating forward and just playing 2/3 small forwards in Butler/Lonie and Parker.
I don’t see how McGovern and Barrass can cover that many tall options.

While it might seem to give us a glimmer of hope, its not great for us since we need West Coast to beat the Dogs in 5 days time.Luke Shuey looks like he’s done a hammy. Gives us a little more chance next week if he misses

They're already missing Yeo, so thats their best 2 midfielders out against the Dogs who are stacked there. NicNat will absolutely dominate but not many great mids left to direct his taps too.Kennedy will be back for that game. That should help.

Will be the Eagles backline to stand up. Hopefully this is the type of game McGovern just dominates the air against Bruce.
