That West Coast result was flattening. If they get up, we have one hand on that finals spot.
Now it is completely up for grabs and we need to scrap for it again.
We can beat both GWS and WC but it would have been nice to have the safety net of not having too.

In a way I am glad we have to scrap. It's a damn tight competition and it's best our boys learn early that nothing comes easy. The first 15 minutes of the game today, until Hill (of all people) stuck a good tackle on Frawley, it seemed like we thought we could roll them in first gear.

If you beat the Eagles and lose to GWS you need the Pies to lose a game. If you beat GWS you're in assuming all other favourites get up.

Win our last two and we should finish 5th.
Dees could thump Essendon and WCE could thump us and Dees may then have % better than ours.
Yeah, lots of possibilities but on form and "on paper" favourites you would think it comes down to we have to beat GWS in last round.

No point limping in because all the others around have fallen over. Finish 5/6 and have a good crack at winning a final.

If the Eagles won then we were a huge chance of making finals without winning about game.

We should have West Coast covered next Thursday, the Dogs ran them off their feet.
Our midfield barely got out of 2nd gear today, Hill looked like he coud've run back to Noosa at the end of the game.

I'm concern about our inside 50 entires against them.
Look at how easily Andrews and May dominated us the pervious two games. Seems like we will feed directly into West Coasts hands.

I'd rather limp in then not make it.
And with lockdown in Melbourne extended, the two weeks between rd18 and the first finals will be much funner if we are in the finals race than lamenting how we screwed it up.
