I reckon the Dees won't have a lot of trouble with the Swans. There big test will be Freo off a 4 day break. Longmuire is proving to be a very smart coach.

Got my fingers crossed the Blues actually show some ticker tonight. Giants lose tonight they have to win every game from here out.
Hopefully I was way off the mark here...

Go you Swannies!

Gee, thanks a lot Sydney ... there I was, being assured by all-and-sundry that the season was completely over, and you just HAVE to go and put things back into St Kilda's hands ... it's almost like you WANT us to suffer ...

... oh well, only thing I can rationally say for the other game tonight is "Go Blues!" (But do us a favour and lose to Sydney next week ;) )

Syd did us a massive favour tonight

With a lot of the teams below us needing 3 wins but playing each other along the way I reckon 9 wins gets us there as long as we hold our %age

If the blooze get up it's even better for us

Gotta love Melbourne

I’m not laughing at anyone until we’ve beaten the Hawks - and hopefully well.
( too nervous about karma and a team I don’t fully trust...)

Feeling better yet George?

A week is a long time in footy, or in 2020... a couple of days is a long time in footy
Melbourne losing was huge for us but we aren't out of the woods yet at all. It's only a 6% gap, if they win two and we lose two you can probably assume they'll go past us. GWS win tonight and they are still in the box seat to overtake us as well.

I'm more optimistic than earlier this week given the result today but still not an absolute certainty.

Pies far from over the line yet. They've got Bris, Suns and Port to go and need to win one. You'd expect them to beat the Suns but then again Melb vs Swans....

Pretty simple from here.

We need to win on Sunday, and then hope Melbourne, Bulldogs, Essendon each lose one more game. That will then mean they can only tie us on W/L and our better percentage may be all we need to stay inside the eight. Melbourne our biggest threat with the difference only being 6%.

If we win two more however, those three sides can only tie us on W/L but can only do that if they win the rest of their games. If that happens then again it will come down to percentage.

Collingwood is also the other side who could potentially drop out, whilst it's probably unlikely, their position isn't certain either.

So for every sides next games we need the following;

Friday 04/09
Brisbane v Collingwood

Sunday 06/09
St.Kilda v Hawthorn
Geelong v Essendon
Western Bulldogs v West Coast

Monday 07/09
Melbourne v Fremantle

After that we can reassess (every side will have two games left).

It would be a handy week to win well. After last week I'm not going to even bank the win until it's played, but a 40+ point win wouldn't go astray.

See us finishing 6 or 7 playing Dee's Collingwood or GWS in first final.

Should win that and then come up against the better performed sides all year of whom we only beat Port....so reckon that's where we now out. 5th or 6th.

Which is a stunning result all things considered.

Also it is where we have mostly occupied most of the season lower half of the eight and also where we rank in terms of percentage.

King Clark Coff Gresh better next year.
Get another solid mid in probably Crouch or back/mid in Williams.

There will be blood letting at GWS as they do not make the 8....probably coach goes and we could snare by swapping picks for Caldwell.

Good character building season...sets us up for 2022 tilt
