We can go 1 more and have 40 on our list if we want. This is why if we want more cover we don't upgrade any rookies this year, but still get access to them for the year after a preseason upgrade.

Me too.
I would play Lambert as the small forward instead of Rioli.

Disposal wise, Lambert is 33% better per game, 1 less shot on goal despite 3 games less, similar tackles, covers more ground, holds his own in the midfield for rotations. He has earned his stripes in the 2's. A much more valuable player.

I don't share the Rioli love yet.
So far he has been gifted games without having to earn his stripes. Similar at this stage of his career to TV29, Nasson, etc.
Good Surname, but statistically one of our worst players this year.

I'd rather keep Townsend as he is younger, and Lambert should be bottom of the barrel depth from now on. Morris deserves to stay also, Batchelor's last year will be 2017 I reckon along with Broad.

Lambert, A Moore, Batchelor and Townsend for me. Morris I think is contracted otherwise he should go. I disagee with most about Butler. He improved considerably in the second half of the year after having overcome injuries. I would like to give him another year. Yarren, well what a good trade that was. I no longer care to be honest.

Motto never came across to me as the kinda guy in it for the coin. A lot of players retire early when they can no longer play at the level they demand of themselves

My guesses as well. Moore would have to be almost a certainty as there's no way he breaks into the midfield after the additions of Caddy and Prestia. Butler might hang on for another year, but you'd think the team will be looking to add at least one more player as either a delisted free agent or rookie draft pick.

We currently have 38 players on the list plus Soldo on the Rookie list,I dont think we actually need to delist anybody to take our 2 picks
Soldo & Chol will be our only rookies and we can have 39 on the senior list which also gives us another 3 picks in the rookie list i believe
but if we really wanted to go 38+6 rookies we could delist Maric,Moore,Butler,Mroad and Rookie list

Right, I forgot that you can have up to 40 main list players out of 44 total.

So, we've got 30 players contracted on the main list, plus two draft picks, plus re-sign Batchelor, Lambert, Butler and A.Moore, plus elevate Short and Castagna. That's 38 players. Leave Soldo, Chol and C.Moore on the rookie list and we can still add up to 3 more players with a max of two of them on the main list.

I wouldn't delist anyone further. Just try to add Ricky Henderson and Michael Barlow as delisted free agents and maybe one more rookie as well, for a main list of 40 and rookie list of 4.

What we should be doing is giving the uncontracted players minimum salary as there is no way they have anywhere els to go and looking to save money for Dusty and free agents next year. we have been way to generous to foot soldiers in the past .

There are a few good free agent players next year Fyfe and Trengrove are the 2 that look to fit our needs, Looks like both Caddy & Prestia will be on good coin as well as paying around $700-$750k for Deledio's contract for the next 3 years

He is prob better than Morris & few others etc but I would now prefer to be adding depth where we need it & that is key position !
