Would indicate the club is looking at other DFAs before making decisions on the uncontracted players.

Should have got rid of moore earlier and taken richards with a nothing draft pick . Club has been over most things this trade period , but IMO let its gaurd down on this one. It also isn't with hindsight , I was suggesting it as trade period closed.

We didn't need to delist moore to do that, we had enough spaces, then do it afterward.

The footy club never cuts players we give em 2yr extensions that usually takes them into long service leave.

Couldn't agree more. I have on numerous occasions heard people mutter words stating we retain our players and nobody wants to leave. Pretty obvious and the Conca scenario was the classic case.

Exactly. Conca should have been de-listed. Even just to prove a point.
He wanted out, so you know his mind isn't with the club. Why keep him here if he's not 100% commited.
He needs to have the best season of his life to get me back onside, It'l be a struggle for him. Don't rate him in the best 22

2 years with less than 10 games warrants delist.
A 1 year contract maybe, to see how the legs go, but not 2 years.
Even though best 22, I think he now needs to earn his stripes again in the 2's and dislodge someone from the 1's.
Maybe still trade bait in 2018.

The football world has moved on from Reece except for the RFC. I look at Short who was rookied who has more upside.
Reece is nothing special and now is one of those so called back up players which we seem to have a pile of.

Sure but wasn't the point I way making. I was just saying considering we have more list culling dates we could have got him him without delisting anybody at that point.

We've picked up two quality players, but our ruthless list review hasn't cut very deep.
Chaplin retired mid-season, McKenzie for health reasons.
Losing TV was always going to happen. Lids traded out was a surprise but not the end of the world.

So we've delisted McBean, Marcon and Moore; three spuds that will be hard pressed to get a contract anywhere else. Is that it? Or is the review working alphabetically and only got to the M's?

In all defence to the club (and I stand to be corrected), pretty difficult to negotiate a contract with like 3 days in the trade period left.

Why ?
two conversations were needed.
Manager : Whats he want ? Sign here .
Sydney : We'll give you pick xxx. sign here.
All of 20 minutes tops and you cant tell me his manager wasnt sounding out clubs prior to the trade period .
