
I never understood why the Eagles delisted him. He was so athletic and had talent to burn, he just wasn't consistent at the time. Another year or two and he could have become a very good player.

To be fair to the club, at 17 Crabb was a better player than both Black and Chambers. It's hard to pick on potential. Imagine if we had let Crabb go, he went to Essendon (or someone) and won the Brownlow. We'd be saying the same thing now that the papers have been saying about Black getting missed by the Perth clubs!!
