If you have done this then I will get rid of it.
But players that really stick out in your memory for other reasons.
like Sam Kekovitch, he was a big name at our club for reasons other than his playing skills. I remember he had a brother Bryan who played for Carlton, and anoather brother Michael who was killed while jogging in the rain, it was said that he was going to be a top player. But apart from all of that in those days Sam was a bit of a flirt and he may have even been responsible for getting a few of the female supporters. Not me I hasten to add.

Flicking through a footy record in the mid 90s I noticed the name Rodney McKay on the reserves page and thought it sounded familiar and I said to myself "hang on is that the same guy that played in our under 19s?".
He got a game in the magoos not long after - onto the field runs this bloke covered in tattoos and he had a shocking 80s haircut to boot. Even though I remembered him from the thirds, it was pretty hard to forget him after that.

Daphne,
Slamming Sam was a class act playing in the wrong era. Playing today, with the discipline and the rewards that go with it he would be, dare I say it, the equal to Wayne Carey.
My favourite story was him being photographed at the the races when he should have been at training. And the time he took on half a dozen Carlton players in a fight and beat them all. He wouldn't get away with it today. Pity.
Yes he was my first hero at North. Shows my age , huh?
