... on top of all the valid comments, the Pies own Essendon on this day. Time for a worthier adversary, not to mention a classier base of supporters.

Shame on anyone booing a champion.

They realise your mob has disrespected a ‘solemn occasion’ and are backpedalling
they're talking aboutr your mob booing little Gaz too you moron, this about the Afl trying to control the only group left in the AFL it doesn't already, the supporters. It's not about Essendon, it's about ANY fans booing at the football

Booing during a game of Footy is one thing, booing during an ANZAC ceremony is something completely different. Only a complete fool couldn't see the difference

Their supporters are degenerates. If the booing wasn't enough, the fact that they still support a club who cheated says it all.
In contrast, Pies fans always show their class. Not booing aboriginal stars like Nicky Winmar. Politely applauding AA superstars like Alex Rance. Not urinating on opposition players and club officials as they entered Victoria Park through the players' race. They're just a class act all round those maggies

The day is about PR gain and $$$$ for the AFL. Essendon is going to contribute to a big crowd. They're not going anywhere.
I can tell you that probably 40k+ West Coast fans [not necessarily members] would make it a pilgrimage every year to see that game if it were given to us. Bucket list's getting crossed off and people who cant get memberships would go over in droves..think of the economic gains from that?

Those instances were that long ago most of those supporters would be dead by now so there's little relevance to today.
