He was supposedly meant to be on.. They said they were trying to get him at maybe 5:40pm and then never spoke another word about it, not even a "sorry we couldn't get hold of him"..

Smells of the footy season slow down beginning and they want to keep people listening for their whole show ;)

I listened to the end and nothing, not happy. I only continued to listen because they were supposed to do the interview. Would have been nice if they said why they didn't get to do the interview or if they were planning to do it tomorrow.

chief crow i did the same waited untill the very end and nothing. Very disappointed they didn't say when they would have him on again.

All they said Rendell on soon, Rendell on shortly...

- Young blokes got through the season fairly injury-free well. First years did well to get through pre-season, just didn't hold on for the year.
- Focus in recent years on leadership in recruiting: Dangerfield, Sloane, Davis, Otten seen as leaders. Petrenko might surprise as a leader later on.
- Gunston did a great job, Shaw was also promising
- McKernan & Cook will still be very good players

- Repeated the comment about going tall in previous years in anticipation of a lack of talls for 2010, other than Lycett. However, we've now had a bad year and could have a crack at the talls, but we won't. Covered forward, back and utility types. Need to bolster the midfield.

Sam Day will be as good a tall as you'll ever see. Maybe doesn't have the mental toughness of Carey, but his athletic capacity is as good as any ever. If he realises how good he is, he'll tear the game apart, which he hasn't as yet.

Expects Polec and Heppell to be #4 or #5, followed by Gorringe. Expects a few "solid, honest" midfielders to be available, but a few talls from Victoria have bobbed up.

"Did our best for Ryan Griffen", but "didn't have high hopes"

"Small crack at Pav" "He could have got another $300k from GC" "Was never going"

Tried for Hurn, tried for him every year. But no chance. Waters, Schammer no chance.

Sniffing at Jacobs & Walker in particular. Walker is contracted though.

"Looking at any ex-SA who's been out of contract"

I found the Hurn bit interesting. Obviously rates him really highly! We have a crack at him every year but he is happy in WA. He is also contracted apparently as is Waters.

Might look at Gum, Luke Jarrad, Simon Phillips for the rookie list. Nearly grabbed Trotter a couple years ago. Lower is worth another chance. Duigan impresses.
