Mcmahon should be back this week for Richmond.

Terry Wallace has said that they need good users of the footy, and not players who give 100% but have 0% skill.

Rance and these boys out, McMahon in..

McMahon isn't exactly a good user of the footy, have you seen him play? :p

lol wut? McMahon is a terrible user of the ball. Couldn't use it at the Bulldogs and can't use it at the Tiges. No idea where the myth came from that he was a good kick.

Matthew Leuenberger injury update

An arthroscope on Lions ruckman Matthew Leuenberger's left knee this morning revealed damage to his lateral meniscus after last Saturday night's match against Sydney at the Gabba.

The injury was immediately repaired with surgery and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Leuenberger is likely to miss the next 12 weeks as he undergoes a strict rehabilitation program.

Wasn't the whole purpose of the Tigers trading for McMahon because it was perceived that he was a good kick and could play an attacking HBF/QB role?

And how's that going for them? :D

Why do you think all Bulldogs supporters were pissing themselves when Terry Wallace said 'McMahon would add some quality'. Trust me, go back to late 2007 and read all the comments on McMahon on the Bulldogs board. Couldn't hit a target to save his life.

The Dogs got a pretty handy player out of that trade as well.

Leuenberger out for at least 12 weeks:

BRISBANE Lions ruckman Matthew Leuenberger will miss at least 12 weeks after an arthroscope performed on Tuesday revealed damage to the lateral meniscus in his left knee.

Leuenberger sustained the injury in the first quarter of the Lions’ victory over the Sydney Swans on Saturday night.

We struggled out of that deal though. After all, we only got Callan Ward. :D

McMahon's disposal is crap but Wallace "On The Couch" sounded almost certain he would be back this week. Someone has to replace King, he will never play another AFL game. Delisted at years end.

Could be good news ahead for Bock fans...

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/sport/afl/story/0,26547,25336469-5016212,00.html

Nathan Bock declares himself ready to play

Bock, the All-Australian centre half-back, today will resume full training with the Crows at West Lakes to state his case as a footballer.

However, Adelaide last night was standing firm on any end to Bock's indefinite suspension being dependent on Bock's actions off the football field in seeking and taking part in rehabilitation and counselling.

Also critical in giving Adelaide's management, leadership group and coaching staff confidence to restore Bock to the AFL is his impending meeting with girlfriend Carlie Mathews.
Note: I've only quoted a small portion of the full article.

Ill be copping a zero if Bock doesnt play. The whole media angle (on the clubs behalf) has been pointing towards Bock returning this week.

Over his career Adelaide has been his DT bogey team, averaging 12 points less then his 2nd worst team!
Got 78 last year in a win at AAMI on Friday night
Rd 19 2007 83 points in a win
Rd 11 2007 91 points in a win at AAMI
Maybe Shirley is super efficient at tagging Ablett?

Interesting Frantelle, and prior to that win last year in Rd 14 he had gone

135
118
123
148
127
147

so it wasn't exactly like he was in poor form at the time.

Video scandal still haunting North: Laidley

By Jason Phelan 11:05 AM Thu 16 April, 2009

NORTH Melbourne coach Dean Laidley admits the effects of the 'Boris' video scandal continue to be felt at Arden Street as his side prepares to take on Essendon.

“They’ve been a pretty fragile group," Laidley said on Thursday.

"Aas late as Monday or Tuesday we were still moving forward and it’s not going to take a week or two weeks, I imagine it’s going to take a while.

“It’s had a draining effect on everyone physically and mentally, but we’ll move on.”

Laidley forecast several changes ahead of Sunday’s clash, with Daniel Wells to be rested with a hip injury and Corey Jones to be dropped.

Jack Ziebell and Leigh Harding will also face tests later in the week. Ben Warren will make his debut.

Ablett did score almost a 100 agains the crows in NAB in the first half, but this is only nab and probably means nothing.

I reckon im going to look somewhere else for a captain option this week. J.Corey IIRC loves playing agains the crows.

So Gibbs is out is he??
