Someone explain this to me.

If we take the striking charge to the tribunal, he gets whatever they (Schwab and his boys) see fit, and the points system is thrown out the window, right?

Therefore if we accept the early plea for the charge against Coughlan, it goes back down to a reprimand.

Can't see him getting any more than 2 at the tribinal for his strike anyway, so is there anything to lose by appealing that particular charge?

Thats F##cked. Stupid system. Des was literally a step away from that marking contest. Couglan you dirty faker. Medium impact (2points) Coughlan basically cannoned into Des. If you watch the tape Headland was barely moving forward. It was Coughlan moving backwards.

As for the strike where's the footage. I have a feeling this stinks of Tarrant vs. M.Carr except Campbell is a dirty b#tch and won't defend a fellow player.

And by the way, Simmonds sucks. Well done Richmond, Ottens out and Simmonds in. HHhahahhahaahhahaahahahaha. Your finals campaign was over the minute you traded for Simmonds. Not that we are going to make it now.

Dude, its Headland. At the start of the season everyone would have been happy.

He's playing well, and if he doesn't get off (we should appeal, what a joke) he will be missed, but its not the end of the world.

Hopefully it gets Hayden a run.

I put that comment in cause after reading through my post i thought i was a little harsh on Richmond. Saying they won't make the finals and all. ;)

Headland got off theat bump and rightly so. After seeing the replay after my first observation wasnt high and appeared fair. Didnt see the 'punch' he dished out to Campbell. Anyhow who cares? He is bringing in some heart into the team and toughness that most players including himself have not at all shown.

That bit was right though :)

Even if they win the next 3, there % is shot and the last spot could very well be decided by percentage and 12 wins.

azza, the bump was fair, I agree, but it had more steam in it than the 'strike'.

imo, he could have really connected and copped 5-6 but the way I saw it he really pulled it and barely got him high, ended up basically resting his arm on his shoulder with little impact. Can't believe he was offered 2 weeks for that.

IMO Dessie copped two weeks for basically nothing. This tribunal system is a joke and run by an incompetent bunch of fools and idiots. Take out the hardness and characters -footy is no longer footy.

It is a fine line at the moment.

Sorry for Dessie as he is starting to step up but the team now has depth to cover for this. Several options available and they will all do well. Weather will be a factor but important to keep leg speed going.

Note that Koschitzke got off.

Des was always going to get a week for the punch to the head, thats why he didn't contest that charge at the tribunal. I thought the other charge was ridiculous when I first saw the replay but I assumed coughlan was accepting a handball, hitting him after he has taken a mark is a bit different. Pickett got 2 weeks for the same thing. Whatever the case the shirtfront is now a thing of the past which is very sad !!
