Test time in Rugby league this weekend as the NRL takes a break.

Friday night Australia and New Zealand go head to head. The Kiwis have been pretty good lately, but traditionally don't do well in stand alone games.

On Saturday we have a triple header with Tonga v Samoa as well as Fiji v PNG, preceding that will be the Junior Roos v the Junior Kiwis.

Also on friday night the women get their chance to show off their skills as the Jillaroos take on the New Zealand Kiwi Ferns in the curtain-raiser to the Trans-Tasman Test.

Thursday night City play Country.

City V Country is at a crossroads in terms of relevance. What used to be an Origin selection trial is now little more than something to keep the NSW country folks happy by giving them a game to go to. 10 debutants in the city lineup attest to this. Clubs just don't want to risk injury to their star players for the sake of this fixture anymore.

Do many New Zealanders switch allegiance to play State of Origin? Obviously that wouldn't apply to players who've spent their entire career in New Zealand.

Random question as I'm watching at work and missed the incident, but if Semi got sent off; How was it not a Penalty Try?

I thought he would've scored if not for being pushed out of the way. Either way not too fussed. Thought Australia were average and we were very ordinary on attack, but great on defence. Reckon at full strength we win.
