I am glad there was a simple explanation. Does anyone who saw the game believe he could really make it as a key defender?

I'm not sure whether that was the main reason for this switch forward or it was for tactical reasons because Dixon was noticeably too big for Johnston or whether they just wanted to get White into game after a quiet first quarter.

I really hope he stays up forward for the rest of the year, he just looks so natural in that role. The stint in defence was a great learning experience and he now has the versatility of being used there, adding to his appeal when it comes to senior selection, but with Heath and Malceski back and probably Alex Johnson making way some weeks in the future, we're well covered in defence and even if Jesse continues playing forward I think Johnston can work well with him rather in stead of him.

Yes, I'm not sure why I typed VIPs when I was looking for WAGs. Maybe because it was almost 3am when I did. :o
 
So as already mentioned, next week is a bye and then the following week is an interesting one - Ainslie at Newcastle. Sat 28 May 12.30pm. An awkward time for Ressies watchers as the seniors play North on the same day at 2.10pm at Etihad. Any Newcastle based supporters keen to get out there and have a look?

Grim, I suspect I was sitting in front of you during the second quarter. I assume you were the guy with the binoculars and iPhone tweeting away. Felt like saying cheers for doing this, but felt a bit odd about greeting a stranger by their internet nickname.

That would definitely be me but I don't recall you sorry. Definitely say hi next time, I've met a few posters already from here and RWO at these games. I only recall there was a guy with a blonde woman who stood in front of us in the 4th, seemed to have some connection with Lewis Moss of the GC, but they annoyed me immensely because they were blocking my view. :mad:

Don't worry, I had the same odd feeling when I went along to the Practice match at the start of the year, but it's fine.

Also, Shotties started calling me Stat at footy training so you get used to it. :thumbsu:

I fully sympathise with her. You've got to have a screw or two loose to stand out there and watch a bunch of kids (and some older ones) run around chasing a piece of leather
