Because this game in the context of the season is massive and we cannot f around with another first gamer. Nothing against him, but not this week.

As I posted on the main thread exactly this week. Not because were fuc ing around with a first gamer but because the team structure cant afford LRT to ruck this week, he should be matching up on Clarke in the Lions forward line and Seaby cant run out a half on his own let alone a match. He needs support and the only man who can do it is Mr Currie. Now is exactly the time he plays. This inst about developing a first gamer for his benefit. It's about saying now's the time your team really needs you to do a job.

Did you even read the report on White in this thread. He played less than half a game. And if you listened to Mr Ed on SEN tonight about why he didn't play TDL last week he cant play White this week.

What did Horse say?

This is where a mid-season draft or trade would work, for club and conscript.
Lets say Currie to The Plain White Dees - due to Jamar's jarred knee. And Scully to Sydney, to relive Melbourne midfield player plethora.
Win, win, you know it makes sense.:footy:

It is this progressive, lateral thinking that marks you a leader of men, Fu.

But let's be a bit fair ... we have many fine mids, Melbourne has no decent ruck back-up to Jamar, so we would be remiss not to chase an honest deal. Currie heads south for Scully and one more, say, James Frawley, who is tough and strong, and doesn't quite fit Melbourne's "bruise-free" style.

They might want to play hardball, so maybe Paul Bevan could be granted that trade he wanted last year. Currie + Bevan = Scully + Frawley. Fu, get your people to call their people ...

Just wait till you see the next ruckman at Melbourne. He is from my club and is a great kid and will be a gun. At 208cm he's the second biggest in the AFL.

Both sides have 14 listed players so looks quite even on paper, but Lions have a bit more height than us.
