Thank you sir!

Day four and I'm already bored out of my mind.

Just refer to your list.

I want the sketch you promised to draw me :hearts:

Everytime this topic comes up of pb drawing us the drawings he promised us, i think of "paint my chicken coop!" for some reason.

Paint my chicken coop pb ffs!!!

I am in the midst of changing jobs. Just waiting on the contract from my soon to be new employer, which obviously means I will resign at my current place of emplyoment.

I'll be sad to leave in a way. Met some great people who I intend to keep in touch with, learned a lot about myself as a person. My manager has taught me a lot too. But it's time for a change.

It will be a shock to them. I wasn't actively looking for work, I was approached and offered a job. Someone else in my team resigned and they finish tomorrow. We're flat stick at the moment and while my notice period is four weeks, there is a chance I may be walked (very slim though).

I'll be honest and say I was approached, and I've accepted the offer.

So, those of you who have resigned, how'd you do it?
I gave one of my employers an ultimatum when I knew I was leaving at the end of the year (had already resigned for the future date roughly 3 months in advance) moving back to Melbourne. Told them I'm happy to stay through to then because I know it's a busy time etc. but only if you give me $10k now and $10k at the end. They agreed to only do $10k at the end I said to them okay but if I get approached by someone from Melbourne I'm going early and you can stick it.

Got a job offer a week later and moved back here a couple of weeks after that and left them with the worst handover ever to a person who my former colleagues said was a disaster and she left after 6 months & the 2nd replacement is not much better and is likely to be gone soon. This was only about 15 months ago

You definitely had all the bargaining power. It came back to bite them.

Was a lose-lose for both parties which I tried explaining to them in a reasonable fashion. They didn't take my advice and by the time this person leaves they'd have spent way more on recruitment fees on the $10k they haggled over not to mention 15 months of shit work!

Thank you so much for your time, we’ll be in touch by the end of the week.
Have you ever just told someone at the end of an interview "Yeah... look... you aren't going to get this job. Best to start applying for other jobs tonight instead of sitting around waiting for an email"?
