Gotta hand it to Richmond, it would be so easy for a team in your position to write off the season and play for draft picks. You're no chance of making the finals, yet your team goes out there every week with passion and 100% commitment to win the game, which is refreshing to see.
I think you'll be rewarded in the long term by developing a winning culture which cannot be gained through draft picks. As long as you have a fantastic recruiting department, this is definetely the way to go.
Look at Riewoldt he wasnt a top of the range draft pick,, and he's on the verge of becoming a superstar. At the crows we've had Tippett, Walker, Dangerfield, Otten, Bock, Rutten, etc all from non-premium draft picks, so there is no question every year there are players capable of becoming A-grade no matter your draft picks.
