Response to Mike Sheahan's article about the Dees

I have just posted a response to Mike Sheahan's article in today's Herald Sun about the Dees on the website titled DEES HAVE DEPTH.

I agree with most of what Mike had to say. We have to prove ourselves after what happened in 99. You can't call Farmer a superstar, he is to inconsistent. Our only genuine star is White, and he has to prove himself as well.

okay - Demonland your response is excellent. Mike Sheahan doesnt know what he is talking about. we r one of the few clubs in the afl that doesnt have to rely on one person to get us going. ala Collingwood with Nathan Buckley. we have an even spread, that means that we r balanced, and with the young players like Green , and Bruce developing then it can only get better. having a balance doesnt mean that we r going to perform all the time it just means that we r in a stable sense.

White isnt our only star, if u believe this go to another website - http://melbournedemons.rivals.net and read an article on the three Ws and you will be happy. However, back to the issue. we cant rely on one person to do everything for us, and we aint gonna win a flag with Whitey playing all 18 positions. It has to be a team effort. And if the team look at Mikes article the right way they will use it as motivation and realise that they have to have an impact

Your response to the article was written with the knowledge and depth that mikes articles seiously lack.

I thought that the first choice team is just about spot on, except I'd have Johnno on the wing for A Mac.
I don't read the Herald-Sun, mainly because Mike Sheahan gives me the absolute living sh!ts! He whinges and complains and is generally insistant on turn our great game into touch netball! He's like an old mother hen.
Sorry, just had to get that out of my system. I'm finished now.

that is an excellent description of mike sheahan. perhaps u should tell that to his face and see what he thinks. i would if he writes shit like that about the dees again.
