With Nth's win last night, this means making the top 8 is now up to us...The chances of being screwed by other results is now very low.

NTH MELB: We play Nth next week and so long as we beat them, then finishing higher than them is up to us. Zebel looks in trouble for next week. They also have Pies and Bombers to go in their run home.

CARLTON: With Judd expected to get 1-2 weeks, they are now certaintly gone. We play them in 2 weeks so again it's up to us to finish higher than the Blues.

ST KILDA: They have Swans (A) as well as Pies and Cats. This is the only team that can pip us if they can win these 3 games. But very unlikley.

FREO: Again, we play Freo so win against them and they will not beat us for the 8. They have West C, Adelaide (A), Nth (A) and a poor %. So they are unlikley to jump us.

All of these teams fighting for the top 8 have at least 2 games which will be 50/50, so in summary we are all in the same boat. But making the 8 this year is now up to us if we are good enough...

PS- Geelong and Bombers spots in the 8 may also come up for grabs as they both face horrible runs home.

Fingers crossed Judd goes for 2 weeks (but I doubt it because it is Judd).

No doubt Waite will be back for us after Carlton were showed up for having no forward line last night. He always does well against us:rolleyes:

Andrew Walker is out for a month and Simpson will also be out against us which is a couple of big losses. Hopefully Martin, Jackson, and King are all up for selection so we can bury them.

North next week looks tough, but it is at the G' so they can't bully us down the corridor like they did the blooze last night

Fwiw I can't seeing us beat Freo over there. So I think we need to win 2 of North, Carlton and Essendon in order to make. Also need to have a good win (40+ points) tonight in order to stay above Carlton, Freo and North on %

Why not? We always match up well on Freo. The rain suited them perfectly at the G recently. Should be a close game though

It's a shame Nth dont have a big support base cause this game could attract 60,000+

MRP guy #1: "So, how many weeks do we give Judd?"

MRP guy #2: "2 should do it"

MRP guy #1: "But they're playing Richmond in 2 weeks"

MRP guy #2: "Give him 1 week.. We can't afford to lose all that money from blues fans not showing up to watch a Judless Carlton"

Sad but true... Judd is untouchable... But let's be honest, they played a very flat Collingwood and before that their only win in the last 8 weeks was against Melb. they have an avergae losing margins of over 30pts... Blues gone in 2012..

The game is 95 where we got off to a flyer was a great game to be at, 70+ thousand and people were being turned away. I got in though half way thru the 2nd qtr lol.

Don't forget we've still got to play the Lions up there too ... no gimme in our current form.
Not a gimme at all. I'm hoping they drop off when we get up there in a few weeks time once their finals hopes are officially over and they send a bunch of their guys off for early surgeries etc haha

For those of you still holding out hope, here is the ladder after tonights games:
7. Geelong 9-6 109.43
8. Saints 8-7 120.76
--------------------------
9. North 8-7 107.97
10. Freo 8-7 97.6
11. Tigers 7-8 107.02
12 Blues 7-8 103.72

Next week:
Geelong vs Essendon Etihad
Dogs vs Carlton Etihad
Sydney vs Saints SCG
Tigers vs North MCG
Freo vs GWS Pattersons

Any slim chance we have will be gone if Saints win and we lose to Roos. It will put us 2 games and a heap of % behind them.
