Completely off with the fairies, sorry. Even been the most optimistic i can be i don't see us getting anywhere near 14 wins. 11 out of the next 13 simply ain't gonna happen. This is a reasonable prediction:

I don't want to be blacklisted here, but is he that important?

Reality is he's getting older than we would like, with injury issues that will always be an issue till he retires.

Having a good ruck in your squad is vitally important to every team. What we need is depth to relieve the pressure and reliance on one man, so hopefully Hammer can keep improving.

Controversial comment but here goes: if this club has anything between the ears, they will put the que in the rack now. I do not ****ing want to finish 9th. Preparing myself to be berated, but it's on the table.

To me the final position (outside the top 8) isn't that important, by all reports the draft is strong. Finishing 9th might earn some ridicule, but who cares?

What is important to me is that we play to win games, with a view to development. I don't mean chucking in all the kids at once and overwhelming them, I mean easing them in and slowly building up their confidence. It certainly is a stretch but finals isn't mathematically impossible yet, and if we play to win instead of phoning it in we might make even it. The key is striking the balance between long term development and short term success, and I think the coaches and the players are understanding that and moving in the right direction.

Good to see you getting into Dreamtime round.....although I think it is means appreciation of the indigenous contribution to football rather than some hard core delusion.
