Did Sydney get him as an 18 year old? He was probably a poor fit for them as they had a strong side back in 05 06.

9/1/88 is his DOB, so he would have been 18 (and about to turn 19) when that draft was held (late 2006).

Pick 79 in the 2006 draft. Was he a slider?

Probably not. The 2007 AFL Record Season Guide said "A huge youngster who already has a powerful body, he is a basketball convert from Queensland club Southport. Agile for his size, he is expected to develop into a key position player at either end of the ground or could be used in the ruck."
