Re-record it all with real (not midi) instruments and better vocalists. Slightly faster tempo. Introduce some brass.

There's nothing wrong with the melody or the lyrics imo. The only big problems are production/orchestration and structure. Needs to be sung chorally and not by radio disney voice either.

First I'd put a bullet in the "Hey Eagles" opening. It makes zero sense and it kills the momentum of the song. While we're at it lets take the "we're flying high section out" and leave it only at the end. Maybe have it referenced melodically as the intro over two bars.

Then I think we need to double the first half of the first prior to "we're the big birds" which is kind of a turnaround. That requires new lyrics, these might be kind of cringy cus the rhyme scheme is kind of weak, you could just as easily double the "We're the eagles the west coast eagles bit" but I'll try add some variety and panache.

TBH our song is more of a shitty chant than song.

All for a complete reworking of the team song that the team sings post game. We could also keep the "Flying High" song as a secondary "Traditional song"

In passing I hope this is in jest. How would all our non-WA players feel? There is no longer 'the Eastern States' and parochial old WA. Thirty years ago there was, but not now. Times changes, the world gets smaller.

However, I think at a minimum just get some new lyrics for that song. I mean look at them -
