Review Review: R8 v Port Adelaide

Didn't like seeing Hart laughing with the forwards at 3 qtr time.

Clearly spent in the last.

That 5 minutes when Talia went off was huge for port.

Overall though a showdown win is a showdown win and we were excellent for 3 quarters.

Sloane was huge at the death.

Big win for our season well done lads.

The crows intensity was absence with 15 minutes to go and the game turned in its head. We managed to wrestle it back but mentally we switched off.

When we were physically fatigued the mental drop off killed us.

Well done for stepping back up and wrestling the game back.

Talia turned the clock back 5 years. I haven't seen him jump like that in years. He might finally have his body right.

Murphy huge with that forward line pressure.

Keath just dominant.

Sloane the heart and the soul of the club, standing up every time we needed him to

Credit to Don Pyke for revamping our game plan to a high pressure style. Not sure if it happened during pre season and we took a few weeks to get used to it or if he made the change after the Kangaroos game, but it has definitely worked and now gives us a game style that can take it up to anyone in the league.

Ugly: Greenie and Berg failing to score from absolute sitters. Putting the cue in the rack in the last.

Bad: Mrouch's injury. Gooch, Knight, and Betts did little. Knight'll probably get a reprieve based on his two goals (though he owes one of them to Murphy). How long are we content to carry Gooch?

Good: Arresting the collapse in the last, Murphy's pressure, Sloane, Tex icing it, Lynch back in form, CEY and Brouch solid, defence held up well, Talia important, Greenwood worked his way into it in the second half (though he'll be very happy we managed to win), Brown held up well in his first game back.
