Do you know if he still feels that way?

Rustybugles said:I'm sure that Costa regrets saying this - it appears to be the usual spin -but this is not Costa's style and he must be feeling decidedly uncomfortable.
Bomber will be retained - not because he is the best man but because it is the least damaging alternative. No-one wants a Carlton fiasco or a St Kilda- type assassination (despite the odious nature of the victim). If he were sacked we would be seen as Sleepy Hollow overtuning the picnic table - and the public statements would be apologetic and brimming with false optimism for 2007. And the band played on ......
Nothing will change - a couple of minor moves among assistant coaches and "We look forward to 2007 with confidence..." Perceived stability=continued mediocrity.

What I'm disappointed in is the Geelong Board sitting on its hands, waiting for Cook's 'review' for a week and a half while other clubs like St Kilda are out there being proactive and trying to make a change for the better. It isn't a long time until the trade period, so if Geelong are going to make changes, they have to make them NOW, and should have started making them LAST WEEK!!!
Mr Sensitive said:it's hard to see thompson getting the arse so late in the year... It would leave the replacement with practically no time to assess the list and make proper draft selections... if Cook has any sense he'll recommend a clean out of the assistant coaches. Hinkley, Lovell and Steven Hocking in particular.

Friday will see the release of the review findings and presumably the decision on Thompson.
He said something along the lines of 'the club wants to move on quickly'
This is interesting because I'm sure I've heard Cook quoted as saying the review will take untill the end of the month.
My money is on Bomber staying on for one more year.
