Impossible to argue with this paragraph. I'd love to be behind closed doors and find out what his rle is because some times his effort just seems to be non existent. In my opinion he should have been dropped 3 times this year. His last few weeks were 'serviceable to good' at best. But yesterday he was terrible.

When Harley worked so bloody hard to make space into the forward 50 and Aaron kicked a shank out of bounds on the full right in front of us I wanted to yell out "You just made Baby Jesus cry"

I like Aaron Hall. When he is on his run, pressure and delivery into the fwd 50 really stands out. He has had a few shockers this year, and im sure if Martin K or Boston were up and about hed have been dropped at least once by now.

How close is Jack M?

He is 100% fit and firing to go but the AFL have begged us not to play him because we are already making a mockery of the AFL's concession program.

We are not allowed to play him til Spitta and Jaeger both go down injured or get rested

My intention isn't to offend TheJaegerBomb. I tend to expand my vernacular when I feel like my backs up against the wall a bit to try and be more eloquent to more easily get my point across.

Hall though has had so many more chances than any other player that hasn't performed. He's given games every week regardless of his form. Whether it's because we lack depth in that quick/outside/crumbed position or whether there's another reason it doesn't matter. I really do, honestly, and you know this obviously, hope he comes good and kicks 50 a year and contributes. But he is by far and a way out worst player most weeks, including yesterday, and no matter how he plays we know he will be picked next week. I feel like that's sort of irrefutable? I dunno.

I fully agree mate but that wasn't his worst game and he has been better lately bar that game. He won't get dropped. When I see him hanging back from a contest I find it hard to fathom he is actually that lazy. It seems 100% like a coaching direction to me as he is almost forcing himself to hang back and receive that outside ball. He is very wasteful though and that cannot be denied. He will never be a 50 goal small forward most likely, they are near non existent and only one or two guys a year do it. It is confusing but I did hear Bluey say after his best game of the year that he had been playing average at the start and was almost dropped.

Yesterdays game aside I think Russell is in the same boat. How did everyone rate Sexton's game yesterday? I was pretty unimpressed.

Secco just made perfectly timed 'mistakes' every time! Over running ball despite having 30m on opponent, running into open goal and shanking, hiccup after hiccup...

Sexton was great in patches yesterday. Played himself into the game well. I would like to see what he could do with 2 more weeks.

I think Spook is playing himself back into form too!

If a player makes one or two mistakes. He must be dropped. Gary Ablett, catchya.

Still need to watch the replay today, but I agree about Spook getting back into form. I supppose Sexton can be expected to drop the ball a bit given he's only played a handful of games. reminded me a bit of Timmy Summers game, exciting stuff completely ruined by errors

He is like Lonergan. Puts the jets on and amazes all with his pace. But can sometimes run too fast and struggles to get boot on ball at 90%+ speed

Lonergan isn't really that fast IMO. Has decent acceleration but Sexton would have him covered easily.

I think from memory he is pretty quick especially for his size. But even if that acceleration mixed with his body size can break a pack and make himself space it will be a good weapon to have. Just can not see how we can fit him in the team at the moment haha

From memory doing my draft reading he was very agile for his size with good acceleration but top end speed is not his thing. I hope he comes good, I really like him.

Maybe he need to take it easy and find a girlfriend :p

Not quite sure Sunny_ can probably elaborate on this.

Haha I can only assume the female that he was with when I had the convo with him at Sharkies was his GF. She seemed like a nice young lady from first impressions ;)

Things are not always as they seem :p

It was a 10 week injury 10 weeks ago, the Suns website has him listed as indefinite so it doesn't sound like he will be playing again anytime soon

They said 4 weeks about 3 weeks ago. They always have long term injuries listed as indefinite until they are a week or two away. Pretty sure Zac went from indefinite to test.

Really liked our game yesterday. Doggies threw everything at us in the 1st half, and the game was evenly poised at half time. But we did everything right after half time and kicked away like a top 8 sided should.

I'm still coming to terms with our dramatic improvement from last year, where games like this would have ended very differently. Getting a little addicted to the regular winning feeling we have created, and will actually be bloody shattered when we possibly get brought down to earth over the next few weeks!

Shaw's best game of the year, really stood up from last weeks poor effort.

Sexton shows exciting glimpses like any kid who has only played a dozen games, but saying that, you can see he doesn't have the class of someone like Kolo who has already proven himself as best 22 after 7 games.

Hall had his quietest game in a long time, he is a confidence player, and unfortunately it was down yesterday. Maybe it is because Matera and Bennell are in such blistering form as crumbing fwds at the moment, and he has been left behind. But he still has X factor and I think Bluey likes him for that.

Big fwds were great, bond very well. Big boy Zach'aroy was fantastic in the ruck in just his 2nd game back. Really covered some territory.

May held the backline together yesterday. His 1%'s are unbelievable.

Great team effort, proud of the boys, exciting times ahead.

Zac got a bit dominated in the ruck I thought but he really worked hard. I loved that i50 mark. Something that Nicholls does not provide.
