When we got on the bus, one of the ladies of the cheersquad told us that the majority of the cheersquad wasn't going to make it to the game due to illness
. Only her and one other lady who was already there were going to have to lift the banner (which isn't light!), so she asked around our bus for volunteers. My sister and I jumped at the chance and yeah, ended up on the field holding the banner steady. Even with the volunteers, there were still only about 18 of us.Just a matter of being in the right place at the right time lol. To be honest, it was fairly underwhelming, they get through the banner pretty quick, not to mention you're not really supposed to be paying attention to the players lol.

A few thoughts
Browny does not go to Perth, we have a bank of games coming up that could be 50/50 in Carlton and Richmond, he needs a week off and taking him to Perth is a waste of time. Take Lisle and Karnezis- tis the future.
Cornelius- The more I watch of him, the more and more I am determined to see him go into our backline. He reads the play well, very good set of hands and has shown at times he is an elite field kick and decision maker. He is just a reactive and lazy player- backline desperation is what he needs to learn- send him back
We won, that is the most important thing, there is no room in the scorebook for the story! We must send a hard running team to Perth- so i wouldn't be shocked to see a number of changes. Definitely would not take Brown and Black!

I like this idea. I would also leave Drummond in Brisbane.
I just don't think Ace would have the pace to keep up with key forward in the backline.

I'd be really disappointed if they rested Brown because they didn't think they were a chance. He has also talked about not being able to find form. As long as his body is feeling ok he needs to play as much footy as possible to find form.

Why do Brown and Black need resting? What's wrong with them?
Acorn's fitness is twice as good as this time last year, obviously still has a bit to go. History will constantly point to forwards who floated in and out of games who then went on to consolidate careers as defenders. Not saying he is a long term option, next week i would play him on Darling- will learn a heap!

Both failed to have an impact yesterday, both looked sore. Not sure what the benefit is to taking them on a 10 hour return plane ride to Perth. I reckon Beams and Lisle would have more meaningful contributions at this stage of the year.
