This is the game where Ross is forced to use Dawson in the ruck in the last quarter and he smashes it with clearance after clearance.

Sorry, should I have used spoiler tags?

A big-up of the great man Dawson never needs spoiler tags! Of course he smashed it. Talk about quality under pressure :thumbsu: Roll on '14

I need fow sports. :(

You can watch any of last years games online with the AFL website smart replay.
I've been seeing which games people are talking about here and then having a flip through on the AFL site.
Foxtel is becoming increasingly redundant. You can get a tablet and watch on AFL App during the season, download full replays from torrent sites and/or use smart replay. I got rid of my Foxtel after the Grand Final. Enjoying not contributing $ to Murdoch's empire.

Yeah I watch the smart replays or what Sij has placed on youtube as he has full games from last season. It takes a massive amount of download and my internet speed has slowed down a bit. Not sure why

hehe and lots more coming and this year will be quicker.

I watched the Port game last night. Gee we were good. Walters was amazing, Hill off half back, Fyfe everywhere and Neale was so classy. We just toyed with them. Very enjoyable viewing.

What about the cricket tour of SA coming up? Not a fan E?
Caught the end of the North game today, not really worth watching that one again.

Well I watched our round 14 match against Geelong again this weekend.

This was a game that we had pencilled in for a loss I think, and we were without Barlow, Pav, Sandi, Spurr and Mundy.

We went in with Hannath, Taberner, Viv Mitchie, Tommy Sheridan and Hayden Crozier instead.

Crowls was superb on Joel "The Turtle" Selwood, but other than that we were sadly taught one that night, especially after Geelong's loss to the Brisbane Lions the week before.

Taylor Hunt tagged Stephen Hill out of the game.

Zac Clarke was ordinary, and Matt Taberner had Harry Taylor to contend with all game.

Harry Taylor then did what Brian Lake did to us in the GF, and their wall of steel at half-back made goal kicking impossible for us.

We stayed with them for half a game, but that was it. Once we lost Paul Duffield and Michael Johnson to injury we were done.

So the second half was very difficult to watch, although Fyfe, Mzungu and Danyle Pearce tried hard.

Zac Dawson must hate going down to Simmonds Stadium.

The highlight though was Viv Mitchie's fist tackle.

Here's a challenge for you all, try watching our round 15 game against St Kilda without smashing the TV.

Especially in the 1st half.

I can't do it, our skills were horrible!

This was the game where we brought back Sandi and Pav after long absences from the game. Pav sadly only lasted 2 games before being rubbed out for 3 the following week.

BTW- Tom Lee must love playing on Zac Dawson.

The only highlight was Ballas kicking 5 goals in his best game for 2013, and he could have easily kicked another just before the half-time siren, but missed an absolute sitter.

David Mundy had a great second half though after having a shocker in the 1st and Nat Fyfe had 35 possessions for the game.

Leigh Montagna was suburb for them with 31 possessions.

This was a game best described as one that we didn't turn up to until half time.

Avoid watching at all cost!

You're right Harry, it's these games where we beat the opposition 60 points to 30 like the Roos and GC games also, that we need to lose from our season. It's this type of contest where we need to start being more offensive with a game plan that kicks bigger scores to win. IMO RTB's game plan hasn't won a GF because of the MCG and it's size, making it harder to defend than any other ground. I'm sure the club will act on this POV post haste, but count yourself lucky, I was at the final round St Kilda game which was probably a bigger waste of time.

Just in case it hasn't been covered... If you have a smart TV (I've got a Samsung) you can download the AFL Game Analyser app and watch all of last years games on your TV.

The app has some smarts so you can skip to goals, marks etc through the game.

Watched the Geelong final again this morning...Wow, what an amazing team performance! And to think we were missing Clancee, Ibbo & Johnson.

Observations from the Carlton game.

1. Nic Suban was in ripping form. There are not many players who can deliver the ball that well into the forward line and he really knows how to kick a goal himself. He's such a potent attacking weapon when at his best.

2. It's amazing how well we played for such a massive chunk of the year without an kind of a key forward. Simply amazing. Kudos to The Boss.

Rewatched the Carlton game myself recently and Suban was the one that really stuck out to me. Really hoping he can cement himself in the 22 this year. That left boot is brutal.

That's OK, Subes will be back for the GF replay in round 3 whilst Lake is still suspended for his hit on Walters - you know, the one that wasn't severe enough to warrant a 50metre penalty according to the umpire.
There's a lot of minds where that one's indelibly printed Cat!
