How sh!t is the RFC website at the moment?

1/ Surely there has been more than 5 news worthy items in the last 2 and a half weeks??? (One of the stories is the "Roof for Sale")

2/ No info on training dates.

3/ No update on the membership since the family day.

4/ They link to "Tigerland Auctions"... well there aren't any.

5/ The Poll hasn't changed since December.

6/ The "breaking news" (!!!) in the video area is our new sponsor... months ago.

7/ You click on the players tab and although they have the 2008 playing list in there, it still says Season 2007.

8/ The injury list hasn't been updated since the 4th of Feb

9/ Where has all of the coaches comments on player progress gone?

10/ Where are the player interviews?

Maybe I'm just whingeing... but surely in our Centenary year they would PUMP things up a little more.

How about some past greats interviews... or game stories of when "so-and-so" cut loose in a game.

Stuff to get us all excited again!?

I'd love to read on stories of yesteryear (And before anyone mentions it... yes I do have Rhett Bartletts book).

How about an interview with Hoggy about how it felt to kick 10 goals against the Pies in the "Mothers Day Massacre"?

What about the day that Michael Mitchell destroyed the Lions on Anzac Day at the 'G by kicking a ripper goal and taking Mark of the Year?

How about the goal that Wayne Campbell kicked seconds before the siren to knock off the Blues out at Waverley?

Or even the comeback from 50 points against the Hawks at the 'G a few years back?

Anything... surely we have some more positive stuff to list than "Schulz cracks a rib"?

Have to agree with you. They hardly update it, the poll changes 3 or 4 times a year, and last time i checked, they'd updated the player profiles by making it look better, but they haven't changed the biographies or anything.

Same here. The site is terrible I blame it on Telstra though. I wish the club would run it's own site independently.

Not much bang for my membership buck so far.

I have even emailed the club to get information in regards to training times etc. They don't even have the decency to reply, but I bet ya that they are on the phone at seasons end chasing me to renew the membership again. With this type of service, I am seriously debating whether I will or not.

Thank god that this site is here for us to get our daily fix!!!

Its absolutely bizarre... in this day and age, a firms/companys website is probably the most important part to any marketing campaign... and we're not doing **** all about it.

What must our sponsors be thinking... they are giving us all this cash for jumper signage and a bit of boarding around the ground and at marketing events, but the website is an embarassment.

We all say how well Wright and Co are doing... but this is a disgrace. We could be doing so much more and its ****ing easy. Our marketing department should be ashamed of themselves.

I just assumed that most of the clubs had to do it on behalf of the Bigpond being a sponsor of the AFL. I could not possibly see why as many clubs have the same layout etc as us if they did not have to.

We can make our own like Essendon has but we'll still have a tel$tra one as well but if we let Bigpond manage it we get a decent revenue stream from it.

I think its not up more so other clubs cant see it at the moment to attend, I would assume in the real season it will be updated regularly.

But the general rule is Tuesdays and Thursdays at the moment.

Naa its up to Bigpond to get a profit. Im pretty sure RFC gets a set amount.

Yeah I know but you dont know how they think.

I suggest calling them would be the best way of finding out rather than an email, although I've never been ignored, but I dont use the generic public one given on the website, I stalk.

Last I heard we were in the process of appointed an employee so WE could run it once the new format is updated to our page. Whether that happened, I dont know.

The players decided they wanted to shut up and let their footy to the talking.

Let's hope it really does roll like that.

If we get less stories but better results on field I'm all for it.
