at least he has held it together better than richmond!

I dont think anyone is worried about tige today, we(the doggies) got the 4 points and he(the hawks) didnt :D :D :D. How does it feel to lose to the (in your words) "Leagues arse lickers"?

Astonishing post - some rotten bastard has spiked Gnome's drink.

Did anyone else hear that Rohde had an extra assistant for today's game?

Credit is due to Peter today, maybe my 2000 calls on the Radio put some pressure on him which was needed

P.s Did you know that Jason Dunstall was helping Jade with his kicking this week

Hows that a Hawk boardmember teaching our fullfoward how to kick in the week we play them

Not sure if you heard it but there was a call or two to 3AW today from disgruntled Dogs supporters. Poor old Ben from Brunswick was cut short again with his emotive and and high pitched outburst. The poor fellow couldn't have been going to the game because it was made about 1.40pm but he still wanted to get a shot in.

They cut him off quite quickly everytime I hear him.

Cant say I heard him Oldschool,as I only listen to 774 ABC

I am a little dissapointed though I thought you had great knowledge of the game ,quite educated and seemed to be pretty switched on

But now you tell me you listen to 3AW

Im gutted

Also Oldschool anybody who lives in the CBD knows Brunswick is about 10 minutes from the G

Ben leaves at 1.45 parks the car and is at the game at 2.05 buys a beer and sees his dogs play

Oh another thought (I must be columbo in disguise)he is ringing from a mobile

It's a problem about having the station preset isn't it ? :)

BTW, Didn't you used to bang on about how good Stan Zemanak (sp) was ?
Didn't you like his 'shock jock' style ?

Positives in Rhodes coahing today:

Bassett being moved up the ground gave a defensive touch to holding the centre square against hawk attacks.
He also gave some very good field kicking passes to various people

Robbins may not have worked as a goal-kicker but I think that by spending Robbinsin such a way they got rid of a speedy midfilder in itself chasing an opponent, slowing down the entire hawks ability to accelerate before we could get back.
Hence it holds the Hawk talls in check ->except for 1st quarter where all the hawk midfielders crammed into our backline.

Getting Darc away for centre square to rest, meaning Everitt had to do the same to keep up later (ie by going back to croft and Darc).
Moving the hawks most influential player out of the main play ensured we won the ruck, and didn't actually need to be tough to get the ball rolling our way

Old school you can search the big footy website,my school reports, question every family member of mine and check my dental records and the word Stan Zemanak and me will never come up.

He made me want to chuck

Now Virginia from 774 she is my girl along with Dan lonergan

I actually know Brunswick quite well but thanks for the Melways lesson :)
I suppose he could have made it after all they cut him off quickly everytime :D

Having Robbins in the forward line made his fellow forwards accountable if it did nothinge else. A couple of players with a defensive ethic up front keps the ball in longer. Good work by the coaching box on that one.

Congrats Doggies, well done on yesterday. Great to see so many finally putting in. Harrison, good game. West, fantastic. Eagleton, your finally showing your worth (bout time). Murphy, I agree with other posters, far too good to be minding someone of lesser ability than your own.Harris, reminded me of Rick Kennedy.I like what i see. Guido, very good early and creative.Rawlings, another good one and the reason we can go long now. Cooney, the excitement machine.

It was also heartening to see a few of the werribee players congratulating the boys as they entered the rooms after the match.Good stuff.

Yes Robbins finally moved out of the back pocket.

Do you think everybody on the board constantly yelling out for Robbins to be moved helpd? Unlikely but it was good to see.

Would still like Robbins to be given a run on the ball yet forward is good also. His pace will hurt sides and means a a quick defender must man him up. When it clicks he will kick some goals.

Keep the on ball bridgage more settled this week instead on rotating which I liked.

Forward line was too short for the last 10 mins of the 3rd quarter was the only mistake I noticed.

Bring on Port and strike while the iron is hot.

yeah i've been screaming out for robbins to move up forward or even midfield, he's tough and throws himself in. All that work he was doing in the forward was the catalyst for hawthorns ordinary disposal going up the ground. We actually put pressure on them and they started going back and forth and second guessing.
This obviously rubbed off on bowden and danny g as they were vastly improved in this category.

Did either West or Eagleton get any rest during the game, just they looked absolutely knackered by the end of the last quarter - stil getting the ball, but unable to chase.
Still, it worked and did seem like we had less wholesale rotations in the centre square which was obviously a plus.
