I know alll the talk is of kreuzer and cotchin, but this kid can play. Averaged 32 touches in the national carnival, he is a gun. What does everyone think why are those two so highly rated above this kid?

The thing that I like about Palmer is that he would bring something to Carlton that we are lacking at the moment. A midfielder, that can win his own ball, and very good on the end of a handball as well. Can also go forward and kick goals as well, as he showed us at the carnival.
I'm just not sure he is worth using the No.1 selection on him. As footballers, IMO, Kreuzer, Cotchin, Morton, and David Myers are just better. Still, very much a top 10 selection this year.
I think he's the exact type of player essendon need. will add some flair and run to their midfield

Or Essendon could take a more "classical mid" in Masten or Ebert. Or, someone like a David Myers could be in there sights as well.

Essendon NEED just about every type of player.
Not true, they have key forwards pretty much down pat. They have five or six of them, clever recruiting from the Dons.
Good call - saw him play a few games and definitely stands out from the crowd....he will be an absolute superstar and IMO may be the steal of the draft (especialy if he goes > pick 5).
Will have him on my dream team next year without any hesitations

They'll go for a mid for sure. Anyone from Ebert, Masten, Palmer or even Rioli would be in their sights at #6.

I'd be surprised if they pick anything else considering they don't actually have a midfield next year unless they think Stanton can do it all himself, or that Lovett and Lovett-Murray are actually midfielders
They can delude themselves into thinking that Ryder will be a class defender, and as I mentioned before they have something like 6 full forwards, but their midfield is a gaping hole.

Who? The KP forwards i can think of are Lloyd, Lucas, Gumbleton and Johns. Who else is there?

Lucas can play in defense but the rest are pretty much stay at home key forwards.
But then we're recruiting about a seven or eight ruckman so we can't really talk.
