Yarran.

The substitution rule is killing Rich who lacks the endurance and gut running with his beep to run out games.

That's why we passed.

Yarran can play anywhere bar an in and under midfielder.

Better tackler and mark than Rich whose reach and arm span was the worst in his draft class.

Pretty underwhelming highlights package there.

The substitution rule is killing Rich who lacks the endurance and gut running with his beep to run out games.
Yeah cos there's no bench at all anymore

Yarran can play anywhere bar an in and under midfielder.
Rich can play anywhere including an in and under midfielder.

Better tackler and mark than Rich whose reach and arm span was the worst in his draft class.
Rich is the better tackler, Yarran the better mark.

yarran is improving
rich going backwards
Yaz all the way

Rich has been very solid this year while been tagged by opposition players while when Yarran got tagged by White he managed to completely fade out of the game.

Some highlights package. Where are the round one highlights?

The substitution rule is killing Rich who lacks the endurance and gut running with his beep to run out games.
Then why have his stats improved since last year?

That's why we passed.
You passed because you have one of the worst recruiters in the AFL. You want a forward pocket player but when that failed you moved him to the HBF where he doesn't have to have an opponent.

Yarran can play anywhere bar an in and under midfielder.
He can't play as a forward or an outside mid. Looks like he'll just become another BP player like Gibbs.

Better tackler and mark than Rich whose reach and arm span was the worst in his draft class.
So much fail here.

I can't believe how much Carlton folk are talking up Yarran. I've always liked his potential, but he isn't there yet. He'd done nothing until this year. This year is now four games old and in one of them he did absolutely nothing and he wasn't BOG in the other 3. How is he suddenly considered a star?

At the moment he has only shown himself able to get the ball, whilst playing as a loose defender with poor defensive skills.

P.s. I think he will become a gun in a couple of years.

Would not swap Yarran for two Rich's. I can't see what more Rich would really give us and we definitely don't need another slowish midfielder.

Yarran seems to perhaps have a frighteningly high ceiling and is developing a lot faster now, more than I expected after a slow start. He really is the key to truly unlocking Carlton's backline running game, as we have lacked that in the past few years and been too stagnant. It's no contest for me.
