They won't beat north.
North are too strong for Richmond.

Not last year. Beat them by 6 goals first time round then drew the second time (despite attaining a 40 point leas).

And North beat St. Kilda. By that logic Richmond will play in the grand final.

Get a clue.

Relevence?

What does the North-St. Kilda match up have to do with Richmond being able to beat North?

I'd consider these games winable:

vs Carl rd 1
vs Melb rd 4
vs Freo rd 5 (subi)
vs Essendon rd 9
vs Port rd 10 (aami)
vs West Coast rd 13 (MCG)
vs Syd rd 14 (MCG)
vs Freo rd 15 (ES)
vs North rd 16
vs Melb rd 18
vs Port rd 22 (ES)

That's 11 winable games so i'll put us down for 5-6 in total.

And do people really expect us to go winless?

Fitzoy of 1996 managed a win. Saints of 2000 managed a couple, as did Freo of 01. No team has gone winless since about the 50's.

Very overdramatic.

Just looked up the teams that have gone winless.

14 times it's been done. North have done it 3 times.

The last one was Fitzroy in 1964!!

Before that it was the North/Hawthorn teams of the 20's-50's.

The others went to university in their dying years and St. Kilda notched up all 4 of their before 1902. Plus one to Melbourne in 1919.

A little bit of perspective wouldn't hurt.

Looks like Richmond might break the drought after all.

To bad its not the one they were after...

So you think Richmond are worse than the 1996 lions?

Not saying much for Melbourne considering we got within 8 points ast year in the one game you'll admit you were trying.

You will be worse than last year, so yes. Re: the Lions maybe not worse, but they got lucky. Maybe you won't get lucky.

Last year Melbourne were the bye, Tigers turn this year. Tigers need to go back to move forward.

Yet still won 4 games.

And I don't see why we "need" to go backwards. We've acquired Martin without losing very much over the preseason.

Martin whilst is looking good can hardly be expected to make a major differance this year.

What the tigers have to be prepared for is like melb in 2008 you have a new coach, a new game plan, 14 new players that have never played together etc. All that adds up to more beltings coming your way.

You don't get it do you? The vast majority of Richmond supporters expect a lean year and expect some results similar to the Hawthorn game. The point you're missing is we will still win games as Melbourne did in 08. It is ridiculous to suggest we will go winless in 2010.

I dont expect them to win too many. Maybe 5-6. They could start to gel towards the end of the year. They just need to find a decent target in the forward line.

By the way did anyone else think this was a poll to see if Rich was moving to WA or possibly Richmond?

Lol why do Melbourne supporters keep referring to the Melbourne of 2008? They were crap in both 08 and 09. I love how they are bagging the crap out of us this year saying we are terrible and saying Dustin Martin cannot be expected to have an impact.

If dustin won't have an impact what makes the demons think there new players will lol?????

They are still crap (and I am not saying we are awesome or anything) but a little bit of perspective from Melbourne supporters thanks. Seriously achieve something before you start bragging and hanging shit on us.
