Last season Richard Cole finished 5th in our best and fairest. I still think he has plenty of potential and plenty of good football in him.
Totally agree and I have illustrated this view point in previous posts...

As for Leon great idea to keep him not only to add depth but next year he can be a spark off the bench to throw on the ball for 5-10 a quarter and up forward roving off the likes of Tarrant, Buckley, Rocca, Didak, and Trav
Leon has showed glimpses of absolute brilliance... I agree they have only been glimpses and consistency is what we require. In his defence, he has never played in the midfield in a DOMINATING Collingwood outfit... This ingredient IMO will reveal his true potential...

Give Neon Leon another go...

What irritates me about the glimpses, is that he's guranteed to stuff up the ending of the brilliant flash. He'll always kick a point, or misjudge the length of the kick.

Like I say to my mates, he makes the impossible, look slightly less impossible!

Collingwood have the worst list in the AFL - I hope you keep all your hacks - O'Bree, Davis, Cloke (x2), Walker, Cole, Dudak etc etc

So i can keep bagging your club.
Poor call Flowerpot Brain!

Are you saying Didak would not get a game with the team that hasn't won a flag in 41 years?

Instead of making a Goose of yourself on this thread, why don't you run along and see if you can find some snow to play with!

Oh dear another retrospective recruiting comment.
Are you still fuming after picking up Jason McCartney with #4 in the 1990 draft when James Hird went at #79?
Jasbo, you can't NOT be distraught at the blunder Magpies42 mentioned.

Next Friday night will be particularly hard for me, St. Kilda v Sydney. I always cringe when I see Nick Dal Santo and Michael O'Laughlin running around: -

Dal Santo Pick 13 - We took Richard Cole with Pick 10.
O'Laughlin Pick 40 - We took Chad Liddell with Pick 33.

And then there's the MATTHEW PAVLICH one where we were too smart to pick him instead opting to offload pick 3 and Clinton King to Richmond for McKee and Pick 7 with which we got Danny Roach (don't blame all of you who are asking "WHO?") and then sat by and watched as Melbourne picked Brad Green at No 19! To make it worse for a couple of weeks prior the Tassie media kept saying Collingwood were gonna pick Green!

Bo Nixon with the pick we got for Nick Davis is another one! OUCH!

And I'm sure there's many more that I'm unaware of!

And everyone wonders why we're so Shyte when we cop a few decent injuries!

I'm considering writing a book on the topic.

And to think Judkins had a reputation at Essendon as a recruiting genius! If I ever see him he'll cop the Duncan Fearnley around the noggin!

Do you have links to the posts you wrote saying we should have taken the above players BEFORE the draft.

I didn't think so
